Artist Draws Comic About Abandoned Pet Rabbit And Delivers Eye-Opening Message

Easter has been an important festival in Western Christianity. Two popular traditions of this day are Easter eggs and the Easter bunny. ‘Easter bunny’ means that people release their rabbits on Easter. The fact shows that domestic rabbits are the most abandoned pets in the USA, which can be explained by some reasons.
People believe that rabbits are smart animals, and therefore they can easily survive in the wild, which is definitely not the case. They are NOT easy-care pets. They need wide space to run around and exercise, and they shouldn’t be kept in a cage for too long. Additionally, rabbits do not like being picked up because they are prey animals. But these needs are often underestimated by many owners.
To help change people’s minds and protect these innocent creatures, artist Jenny Jinya creates a comic and delivers a message to all of you guys. The story is about Little Bunnie getting abandoned as a custom of Easter. Do you know what happens next to her? Scroll down to read the whole comic!

Then one day, when I was going outside, chasing after my friend, the butterfly, I was trapped. I hoped it were just a dream.

“They” put me in darkness, without a warning. I couldn’t expect what would happen next…

I was happy… I thought the exit meant freedom, but I didn’t know it was totally the danger.

Finally, someone came…

But then I realized that was nearly the end of my life. I was scared, lonely, hungry, and thirsty. I was exhausted, and very tired.

I wish I would have seen those things, but it was too late. Goodbye, life. I didn’t feel sad, because I knew I would come to a better world.
