As we explore the world of Minecraft, it’s always helpful to have a map at our disposal. With Xaero’s World Map mod, we can consult a full screen map of the world around us. In this map we can see all the world that we’ve already explored, while the not yet explored terrain will appear in black color.
This full screen map is extremely useful for orienting ourselves in the world and seeing what biomes are surrounding us. It’s also great for planning our next steps, as we can see which areas still need to be explored. To view the map in fullscreen, just press the “M” key.
Self-writing world map. Different for every world/dimension/server.
Works in Singleplayer, Multiplayer and on Realms.
Automatic MultiWorld / Lilypadded servers support.
Minecraft Realms support (also with MultiWorld support).
Texture Pack support. Changing the texture packs updates the whole world map and not just the new chunks.

Xaero’s Minimap integration. The minimap mod will display chunks provided by the world map. The world map mod will display waypoints from the Xaero’s Minimap mod. Also works with the Better PVP mod. You can create, edit and teleport to the waypoints without leaving the map interface.
Since version 1.14.0 of the mod, you can open an on-map waypoint menu by clicking the icon in the bottom right corner of the map screen. In the waypoint menu, you can see a list of all your map waypoints from the rendered sets, interact with them with the mouse cursor, filter them by name in a text field. The menu also lets you toggle the visibility of disabled waypoints, toggle rendering all sets and change the current waypoint set. Hovering over the waypoints in the menu also acts as hovering over them on the map: they are highlighted on the map and you can use the right-click or hover controls to interact with them.
An option to export a map as a PNG image file. The mod tries to export the whole map, so it might not work, if the map is millions of blocks in length. I’m planning to give more options for exporting the map in the future!
Reviews:
Option to limit your map access by binding it to an item required in your hotbar or to be equipped. For example, add mapItemId:minecraft:compass anywhere in the config file to bind it to the compass item. This way the map will not work unless you have the compass in your hotbar or equipped.
How to install Xaero’s World Map Mod for Minecraft?
- Download and install the Fabric Loader. (Find curseforge .com download)
- Download Xaero’s World Map Mod (Find curseforge download)
- Download Fabric API and put it in the “mods” folder in the Minecraft game directory.
- Download the Fabric version of the map mod for your Minecraft version and put it in the mods folder.
- Start the Fabric game “installation” using the Minecraft launcher.

Can’t see your waypoints on a server after installation?
Your currently confirmed map affects which waypoints sub-world in the minimap mod is considered automatic. This allows each created map to have separate waypoints data. At any point in time, you can select and view any non-automatic waypoints sub-world by going to the waypoints menu (press U) and selecting it from top-right dropdown menu. You can make any sub-world automatic for your currently confirmed map by selecting Options -> Make Sub-World Auto.
Multiple worlds on the same server address/IP are using and writing to the same map?
This mod lets you have multiple maps on the same server address. You can freely switch between maps and create new ones at any time. Map overwriting can be prevented by choosing the right “Map Selection” mode for the type of server that you are playing on. Map selection is done in a special menu by clicking the bottom left icon on the world map screen (if the menu isn’t open by default). In the menu you can switch between Manual, World Spawn and Single modes and select/create maps by using the top-center dropdown menu.
If you hover over the Map Selection option, you can read everything you need to know about each map selection mode, including Server mode. World Spawn mode is the equivalent of what was used by the world map pre 1.6. So you don’t have to downgrade the mod to still use it. Server mode is the best option for most cases because the server automatically controls your map selection based on server-side level IDs. It requires the mod to be installed on the server side. If changing the map selection mode switches your map to an empty one, you can always rebind the map that you want to be used by selecting it from the dropdown menu and confirming.

It’s been three years since we last saw Horizon: Forbidden West on PC, but it looks like the game may finally be making its way to our platform soon. This comes after Guerrilla Games announced that they would bring this bold adventure hit over from PlayStation exclusive line-up for Steam early access next month! Although there has yet to official announcement by Sony about bringing any ____ games onto another system than PS4–we can always hope picnicker.
Leaks about Multiple Horizon Projects
Though no official confirmations about the hopeful Horizon Forbidden West PC exist, MP1st has reported that it is most definitely in the works. But that wasn’t the only thing they revealed. Presumably, a Horizon Zero Dawn Remake is in development at Guerilla Games too. Although “Remake” might be a strong term to describe the process.

The game has barely aged that much, so a remake feels like a total waste of resources and time. However, if it’s a patch of sorts or a PS5 upgrade, then it’ll be a nice cherry on top of the awesome original.
We know that upgrades for a better visual experience are being done. Texture changes seem like they’ll be added too, which would probably be an attempt at making the game more similar to Horizon Forbidden West in that regard. The details still remain hazy, so it’s better to buckle up than be surprised by a remake announcement.
But wait, there’s even more. Soon after the remake rumors, a document that’s being speculated to be an official Sony leak was found. The spreadsheet has names of a few familiar first-party PlayStation titles and about what’s next for them.
Is Sony Developing Its Own Game Store?
In a recent finding by VGC, some files have been uncovered from Spider-Man Remastered, which hint toward an imminent PlayStation PC launcher. The files are titled “PSNAccountLinked” and “PSNLinkingEntitlements.” This could suggest that PlayStation might be developing an original store.
If this does come to fruition, you’ll probably see many PlayStation PC ports head to the rumored store. A bunch of other affiliated games will likely be joining the fray as well. Also, what better way could there be to launch a new store than by releasing Horizon Forbidden West as a day-one inclusion?

No one would’ve believed it a while back that Sony could ever release its “Only on PlayStation” titles to PC. But what appeared to be incomprehensible back then is presently occurring on a frequent basis. With more and more rumors popping up about Sony further expanding its reach across PC, Horizon Forbidden West‘s PC port is more a matter of when than if.
Conclusion
If you’re like me, then you’re probably eagerly anticipating the release of Horizon Forbidden West on PC. The game is already out on PS4 and PS5, but it’s just not the same playing it on those consoles. I mean, don’t get me wrong, they’re both amazing platforms, but there’s just something about playing horizon forbidden west on PC that makes the experience so much better.
