The Dallas Cowboys are facing significant challenges this season, and it’s no secret what their biggest weaknesses are. With legends voicing their frustrations and the team’s leadership under fire for a perceived lack of effort, it’s clear the Cowboys need a boost, especially in their rushing attack.
Enter Shaquille O’Neal, who believes he has the perfect solution to improve the Cowboys’ struggling ground game. On a recent episode of his podcast, “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” O’Neal sat down with Pro Bowl running back Leonard Fournette to discuss the matter.
Looking directly into the camera, Shaq made a compelling pitch to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to sign Fournette, stating, “Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones. It’s me, your boy, Shaq. Look at him, Fournette, looking good, six-pack… he’s ready to go. Alright, Jerry Jones? Stop messing around.”

Fournette, currently with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, agreed with Shaq’s sentiments, adding, “Facts. I’m still 29, 29, 29.” His enthusiasm for the game and readiness to contribute could provide the spark the Cowboys need.
However, despite Shaq’s endorsement, there’s been little indication from Jerry Jones that he’s willing to make any roster changes or pursue additional talent. The Cowboys already have a former Pro Bowler on their practice squad, but he hasn’t been given a shot yet.
Given this context, it seems unlikely that Fournette would be welcomed into the Cowboys’ roster anytime soon. With the team in need of help, the question remains: will Jerry Jones take the steps necessary to revitalize the Cowboys, or will they continue to struggle as the season progresses?
