‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is the final film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie was first released at the end of October 2022. Instead of tons of high-tech fighting and action scenes, the 161-minute flick is mostly about character development, which is assumed to give a deeper meaning and make the movie less shallow than recent MCU works.

What happens in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever post-credits scene?
The after-credit is a continuation of the final scene. Shuri visited Nakia in Haiti. After burning her funeral ceremonial robe in a fire on the beach and mourning the death of her mother – Ramonda, and older brother – T’Challa, Shuri was introduced to Nakia and T’Challa’s son, Toussant. Nakia had been raising him in secret, far away from the pressure of the throne. He was the reason she had not attended T’Challa’s funeral.

Shuri complimented the boy on his name. Toussaint responded to her by explaining that Toussaint was his Haitian name and that he also had a Wakandan name. Curiously, Shuri asked what it was, Toussaint revealed that he was Prince T’Challa, the son of King T’Challa. The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever post-credits scene then ends with a dedication slide to Chadwick Boseman, the passed-away actor playing T’Challa / Black Panther in the first Black Panther movie.

Who is T’Challa’s son in Marvel Comics?
While T’Challa had a son named Toussaint with Nakia in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, in Marvel Comics, T’Challa had a son named Azari with Storm, a member of X-Men with the power to control the weather whose real name was Ororo Munroe. In the MCU, Toussaint is also among several Avengers’ children or young heroes who have been introduced in recent years. Fans believe that MCU is setting up a Young Avengers team, which theoretically is absolutely possible.
