Celebrities are said to set trends and are often the first to debut fashion-forward looks. But sometimes, it is inevitable that they wear the same outfit as other famous people! Indeed, they have access to every designer brand and collection, so it is unavoidable that they will occasionally dress up as their colleagues.
In fact, even those who are considered fashion icons have been caught plagiarizing several times. While some of them only borrow details and distinctive features, some copy other celebrities’ outfits completely. For example, at the 2012 Oscar, Angelina famously flashed her long leg in a black floor-length dress with a high slit. But many people noticed that her gown had the same style as Aniston’s dress in 2010! In 2019, Kim Kardashian copied NaoNaomi Campbell’s iconic leopard jumpsuit when attending Fashion Week in Paris.
Scroll down to find out which world-famous ladies copied other people’s looks. And can you decide which celebrity wore it better?

Kim Kardashian is famous for her vintage clothes. But it seems her inspiration comes not only from that period but from supermodel Naomi Campbell. In 2019, Kardashian appeared in public wearing the iconic leopard jumpsuit, which Campbell wore at a fashion show back in 1991. Kardashian isn’t ashamed of borrowing many ideas from the British star, leaving captions under her posts “Naomi Forever.”

Grande imitates her idol, Mariah Carey, in every way, including her manner of performance, style of music, behavior, and appearance. And it seems like she is proud of this. Carey’s wardrobe served as the inspiration for all of Grande’s outfits. In 2015, Grande arrived at the MTV Europe Music Awards in the same dress that Mariah Carey wore in 2014. However, Ariana also has a special hairstyle of her own that many of her followers have imitated: a high ponytail.

At the beginning of her career, Kylie frequently stole wardrobe concepts from Kim Kardashian. Since then, Jenner has developed her own personal style — but sometimes, outfits that have references to her sister’s looks still appear in her wardrobe. But Kim doesn’t seem to be bothered. In 2017, she and Kylie collaborated on a cosmetic line and they appeared in very identical poses for the ad campaign’s promotional photographs.

Since Rita Ora made her debut in the entertainment industry, she has been compared to Rihanna. One of the reasons is that several of Rita’s clothes unmistakably mirror the dresses worn by the Barbados singer. Rita got inspired by Rihanna’s every day and evening outfits, as well as by her stage costumes. For example, Rita appeared on the red carpet wearing a satin dress with a high slit two years after Rihanna sparkled in the same outfit.

In 2011, a huge controversy broke out after it was discovered that Lady Gaga’s new song, “Born This Way,” sounds a lot like Madonna’s hit “Express Yourself.” Not only are the music of these singers similar, but their styles are also similar. Lady Gaga has been spotted several times wearing outfits that clearly resemble Madonna’s signature style, like conical bras, mesh tights, corsets, high leather boots, and other clothing items.

Back in the day, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller were long rumored not to get along when they were both IT girls in London in the naughties. Additionally, the fact that Sienna gets fashion ideas from Kate’s clothing just fuels the flames. Jeans and sweaters with stripes, leopard prints, fur coats and jackets, fringe boots — these clothing elements prove that Jude Law’s ex-lover borrows from Kate’s ideas.

While some celebrities have taken inspiration from Kate Middleton’s style, the duchess herself considers her mother-in-law a role model. Many of her outfits bear similarities to Princess Diana’s iconic look. For example, the outfit the duchess wore to attend a parade in 2006, was probably borrowed from Princess Diana.

When Chloe Moretz started dating Brooklyn Beckham, the doll dresses she once loved were replaced with more office-style outfits. Pantsuits, blouses, classic coats, oversized jackets — it seems like the actress borrowed all these looks from her future mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham. Even after Chloe and Brooklyn’s breakup, the young star continues to wear these kinds of strict and concise outfits.
