Villains always play an important role in making the storyline much deeper and more engaging, thus helping to highlight all the good personalities of the main characters. Therefore, in Disney’s animations, the filmmakers always try to build several conflicts between their protagonists and antagonists to push the story to the climax and interest the audience.
Ursula stole Ariel’s voice and sent her to the mainland just to make King Tritan suffer, Mother Gothel kidnapped Rapunzel and raised her just because her magical hair could maintain her beauty forever… All these details make many people think that villains are unreasonably wicked and only want to harm the leading characters for their own good. However, that thought is not always true. There are many devils who had a valid point for their evil deeds. For instance, is it wrong when Shere Khan didn’t want to let a young boy like Mowgli live alone in the dangerous jungle? Or do you really think that it is immoral action of Captain Hook to take revenge on the person who cut off his hand?
Now, scroll down to discover our list of 12 times Disney villains actually have a reasonable point for their actions. We bet that they will make you rethink hating on these guys!
