Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has shared the exciting news of his engagement to girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos. Prescott opened up about the emotional proposal, which took place during the team’s bye week.
“I’m super excited,” Prescott said. “I’ve known it for a while. … I got the ring a few months ago. She had no idea. She’s a big golfer, thought we were going golfing. I told her that we had a lifetime to golf.”
In a clever twist, Prescott hid the engagement ring inside a fake golf ball. When he dropped it, Sarah Jane nearly hit it with her club. “I’m just glad she said yeah,” he added. “Super, super blessed and happy. Thankful for this family I’ve started.”

The anticipation leading up to the proposal was nerve-wracking for Prescott. He compared the excitement to preparing for a big game. “Obviously, there are a little nerves, especially when you want it to be perfect. The kind of nerves you get when you go into a game. You’re ready, you’re excited about it, but you want everything to go really, really well. For me, I just kept repeating what I was gonna say because I didn’t want to forget the words. Kept it short and sweet.”
Prescott and Ramos welcomed their daughter, MJ Rose, earlier this year in February. Their engagement marks a significant moment for Prescott, who recently signed the richest contract in NFL history back in September. This new chapter in his life reflects his commitment to building a strong future for his family.
