The Dallas Cowboys and their enigmatic AT&T Stadium were center stage once again during Friday night’s Netflix showcase featuring Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. True to form, the Cowboys brand managed to steal the spotlight with its usual dose of spectacle and drama.
Owner Jerry Jones, never one to shy away from the limelight, appeared during the broadcast, even entertaining Cowboys legend Michael Irvin’s pitch for Deion Sanders as the team’s next head coach. Meanwhile, viral photos of the stadium’s infamous curtains—finally drawn to block sunlight—drew no shortage of internet jokes.
Cowboys star Micah Parsons, who attended the event, became part of the night’s theatrics. Shown on the jumbotron, he was met with a mix of cheers and boos before taking to Twitter with a playful challenge directed at Paul, following the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s decision win over Tyson.
“Set it up,” Parsons tweeted, referencing a potential bout between himself and Paul.
Eff that !! Jake let’s go 8 rounds!!!! @jakepaul

While Parsons’ offseason boxing workouts are well-documented, the idea of a Cowboys linebacker stepping into the ring against the year-round boxer is a far-fetched proposition. And, given Jones’ notorious hesitation to spend on his star players, it’s hard to imagine him signing off on such a spectacle.
Parsons’ tweet might not have been serious, but it does reinforce a consistent truth: nothing about the Cowboys ever seems normal. Whether it’s AT&T Stadium’s quirks or their players stirring headlines, Dallas remains the NFL’s most unpredictable team.
