Under Quinn’s guidance in Dallas from 2021 to 2023, Lawrence posted stellar numbers, including 136 tackles, 13 sacks, 14 pass deflections, 24 tackles for loss, 28 QB hits, 47 pressures, and six forced fumbles. This productive partnership makes Washington an attractive landing spot for the four-time Pro Bowler.

The Commanders, currently ranked 30th in the NFL in run defense (allowing 149.9 yards per game), would benefit greatly from Lawrence’s expertise. His skill set in run-stopping and pass-rushing could immediately improve their struggling defense.
A reunion with familiar faces like Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr.—who leads the Commanders with 8.5 sacks—might further entice Lawrence.
While nothing is set in stone, the prospect of seeing Lawrence in a Commanders uniform adds drama to the offseason. Cowboys fans can only hope their defensive stalwart remains in Dallas, avoiding what could become a nightmare scenario for the NFC East rivalry.
