The Dallas Cowboys’ 2024 season has been far from what fans had hoped, with a disheartening 3-6 record and four consecutive losses. Yet, amid the team’s tough year, there’s a glimmer of hope with news that offensive lineman Chuma Edoga might soon make his season debut.

Dallas recently opened a practice window for Edoga, giving the team 21 days to either add him to the active roster or place him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Edoga, sidelined since training camp due to a toe injury, has been missed on an offensive line that has struggled with consistency and depth this year. His return could add much-needed stability as the Cowboys look to salvage their season.
Edoga, 27, joined the Cowboys last season, where he played in all 17 games and started in six, logging 420 snaps and finishing with a Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 61.4. Despite allowing 16 pressures and three sacks last year, he proved to be a versatile asset in the rotation.

The timing of Edoga’s return could be crucial as rookie tackle Tyler Guyton continues to battle a shoulder injury. Guyton, who has missed two games already, has had a rough start, allowing 19 pressures and four sacks. If Edoga proves ready to go, he may provide some relief on the line, helping the Cowboys assess their options for 2025.
With Dallas’ playoff hopes hanging by a thread, Edoga’s return offers a chance to evaluate talent for the future.
