Romo, now a commentator for CBS, was in the broadcast booth for the game alongside Jim Nantz. As Dallas struggled to move the ball, one fan humorously held up a sign that read, “Romo Go In,” prompting Romo to jokingly mime warming up, adding a lighthearted moment to an otherwise dismal afternoon.
Cooper Rush’s performance Sunday did little to comfort fans. With Dak Prescott sidelined indefinitely by a torn hamstring, Rush managed just 45 yards on 23 pass attempts before he was eventually replaced by Trey Lance. Yet, even with Lance, the Cowboys found no rhythm, finishing the game with their lowest passing output in years.
