Dallas Cowboys fans are having a rough week, and Saturday morning only added to their misery. As if the fallout from the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event at AT&T Stadium wasn’t enough—with Jerry Jones getting roasted for finally closing the venue’s infamous curtains—ESPN’s College GameDay took a swipe of its own.
During a promo for Monday Night Football, co-host Kirk Herbstreit didn’t hold back, delivering a brutal critique of the Cowboys’ disastrous season.
“Just keep putting Dallas in those high-profile windows,” Herbstreit quipped. “They just keep losing games. That is a train wreck…”

Social Media Takes Aim
Herbstreit’s comments instantly caught fire on social media, where fans and critics alike have been relentless in their criticism of Jones and the Cowboys. The curtains at AT&T Stadium, a long-standing issue blamed for botched plays and player frustrations, were finally closed for the boxing match but remain a sore point for football games.
A Season of Embarrassment
This season has been one humiliation after another for Dallas, with the team sitting at 3-6 and hopes of a playoff run slipping further out of reach. Despite the setbacks, Jones seems unfazed as long as the franchise continues to rake in money.
Monday Night Football against the Houston Texans could offer the Cowboys a chance at redemption—or another opportunity for the football world to point and laugh. One thing is certain: Dallas can’t afford another “train wreck” performance in primetime.
