Former The Mandalorian actor Gina Carano said today that she will be starring in the Robert Davi-helmed film My Son Hunter, which will chronicle the son of the American president and his scandalous business activities and lifestyle. The image shows the youngest son of Vice President Biden living a high life while accumulating millions of dollars from international companies controlled by Chinese, Ukrainian, and Russian billionaires.
In the film, which is presently in Serbian production, Gina Carano will portray a jaded secret service agent. She joins the previously revealed cast of John James (Dynasty), who plays President Joe Biden, and Laurence Fox (Lewis, Victoria), who plays Hunter Biden.
Producer Phelim McAleer: “She is a world-weary secret service agent present at most of the Biden family’s dodgy dealings. She provides a voice of truth and Sardonic comedy over the absurd dealings of the Biden family and various Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian oligarchs. She is present throughout the film – commenting and sometimes narrating the absurd life and party lifestyle of Hunter Biden and the dodgy dealings of his father.”
Gina Carano said “The story, the cast, the crew, the people, this is what makes art great and this is what we’re doing. I feel excited to be working with incredible actors, a visionary director, and some newfound friends as producers. The script was instantly intriguing and side achingly hilarious to me, especially after being newly exposed to the political realm in 2020. Robert Davi is someone who reached out to me as soon as I was ‘canceled’ in Feb. 2021.
I signed on in support of him and one of my favorite humans Laurence Fox. They both have always been actors I adore watching and now they both have become my friends and mentors. The icing on the cake was getting to meet John James, a wildly funny charismatic, and lovable human. It is such a pleasure to be at the forefront of groundbreaking storytelling.”
Davi said “When we think of the modern female, we look to women that are intelligent, feminine, strong, nurturing and vulnerable and have a sense of humor. I have been blessed by knowing women who have served our nation … I wanted an actress who the audience would believe is capable of protecting such an iconic figure as Joe Biden.”
Following her contentious social media remarks, particularly on TikTok where she equated the political split in the U.S. to that of Nazi Germany, Disney announced earlier this year that Gina Carano wouldn’t be returning to further seasons of The Mandalorian. After her divorce from Disney, she was cast in Terror on the Prairie, a film she is also producing alongside The Daily Wire. The actress was also fired by her agency, UTA.
The producers of My Son Hunter are the Irish filmmaker and journalist duo Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney (Gosnell, FrackNation).
License to Kill, The Goonies, and Die Hard are just a few of Davi’s acting credentials. He also directed and produced the films The Dukes and Magic. Additionally, he has the EP “New York City Christmas” performed.
