How To Share Screen On Facetime For iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Thanks to the integrated Share Screen function, sharing what you’re viewing on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac screen with a buddy who is far away is now as simple as placing a FaceTime call. Let’s learn how to share screen on facetime as follows.
What to know before learning how to share screen on facetime?
FaceTime requires iOS 15.1 or later (on an iPhone), iPadOS 15.1 (on an iPad), or macOS 12.1 or later for both you and the other party to share your screen (on Mac). FaceTime requires an Apple ID as well.
You should be aware that you cannot share material from applications when viewing it requires membership or payment. (Apple suggests using SharePlay for this.)
When you want to convey information to others remotely or need assistance troubleshooting, sharing your screen via FaceTime is a terrific option. Notifications are hidden while sharing your screen. However, if you have important information on your screen, be wary about screen sharing because the person on the other end could view it.
How to share screen on facetime for iPhone and iPad?
Start FaceTime on your iPad or iPhone.
After selecting the people with whom you wish to share your screen, touch New FaceTime, and then press FaceTime. Choose a recent contact instead to start a video call.
Tap the SharePlay button in the new control panel’s top-right corner when the call has connected.
In the dropdown menu, select Share My Screen. Screen sharing should start up three seconds after the countdown has finished.
You may access any app you choose to show the callers after FaceTime screen sharing has begun. When FaceTime screen sharing is enabled, a sharing symbol will continue to appear in the top-left corner of the screen. You may press this icon to access the FaceTime control panel.
For additional screen space, you may slide the face of the currently active caller away; you can then do the same to bring them back into view. When viewing another person’s shared screen, you will see their name immediately below the top-left icon, along with icons to write them a message, love what they’re sharing, and share it with someone else.
Using the SharePlay interface, you may also view movies and TV shows with friends while listening to music. Everyone on the call will see the same synchronized playing and controls when you stream movies or TV episodes.
How to share screen on facetime for Mac
Open the FaceTime application and place a call to share your screen on a Mac. Once you’ve established a connection, pick the screen sharing option by clicking the FaceTime symbol in the top-left menu bar. This button has a person standing in front of it.
You may choose to share a specific window or the full screen by expanding the menu. Click the option you’d want to.
FaceTime will ask you to select the Window you want to share if you select “Window.” The person on the other end of the conversation will view your whole Mac desktop if you select “Screen.”
Click the FaceTime button in your menu bar once again (it now appears as the Screen Sharing icon) and choose “Stop Sharing Screen” to stop sharing your screen.
Screen sharing can be started again at any moment. Open the FaceTime menu once more and press the red “X” button to end the call when you’re done.
