Ahead of the NFL trade deadline, ESPN’s Adam Schefter sparked speculation by suggesting that teams were discussing the availability of Micah Parsons. Yet, these words may be tested in the upcoming offseason. Parsons will soon be eligible for a new contract, and Jones has struggled with timely negotiations for top players recently. Securing Parsons could prove especially challenging, as he’s likely to demand a record-breaking deal for a defender.
Micah Parsons has been one of the NFL’s top pass rushers since his rookie season. Now in his fourth year, he’s managed just one sack and has missed four games with an ankle injury. The Cowboys’ defense has struggled to generate consistent pressure in his absence, and they’re eagerly hoping for his return soon.
