This year, the super talented duo of “Zootopia” – Byron Howard and Jared Bush have wowed us once again with a masterpiece dubbed “Disney’s best movie in the past six years”. With an amazingly meaningful storyline, an enchanting style of art and countless top-notch musical performances, “Encanto” is truly a lovely and vibrant celebration you can not miss if you are a hardcore Disney fan.
The film revolves around the Madrigal family, who have been blessed with magic after a terrible misfortune. Every member of the Madrigals would be given a magical gift when they turn five, except for our protagonist Mirabel – who is already 15 and is still powerless for some unknown reason.
“Encanto” mostly follows the journey of Mirabel while she tries to discover her true self and save the family’s magic from being taken away by a mysterious force. However, the rest of the Madrigals still plays an important role in embodying many themes that this movie explores and it would never be so mesmerizing without them. So, before joining Mirabel on her wondrous adventure, let’s get to know her family members as well as their awesome abilities!
#1. Alma Madrigal – the matriarch of the Madrigal family. She is the one who takes care of the magical candle that gives the family their magical gifts.
