Apparently, leisure activities are a key part of our lives, helping us to improve the work-life balance. Many amateur artists who keep creating art as a leisure-time activity post their works on the internet. Looking at their works, we just can’t help but have a ton of respect for these zealous people and applaud their artwork. Let’s meet Saiyre, “a physician assistant (PA) by trade and an artist by passion.”

Saiyre works at an Urgent Care in Pennsylvania and lives with her husband and kids. Despite her demanding job, she simultaneously delicates herself to art. Her bio writes: “Outside of high school courses and a minor in fine arts, she holds no formal fine art education and is largely self-taught and self-motivated.” However, her works of art are stunning and incredible for a person without formal art education.

Spending your spare time on a comfy couch with a popcorn bag and watching your favorite movies is perfect for a chilly day. It’s always enthralling and exciting to be absorbed in the astounding plot twists of a flick. Sometimes, we immerse in the film so much that we neglect the rational logic in real life. Disney probably has the largest animation empire. Almost every child grows up watching and falling for Disney princesses. Mickey Mouse’s house is well-known for adapting fairy tales into animated flicks that won big from time to time, from place to place. Furthermore, moviemakers from Disney often integrated several little facts and cameos in their works. Audiences mostly don’t figure them out without rewatching the movies.

“Tangled” is one of the most successful Disney princess movies and was praised by critics for its animation, writing, characters, and musical score. This flick was written mainly for one-time serving. However, if you rewatch it twice and more, you will realize some little-known details mixed with magnificent animated scenarios.

Disney princesses are beautiful and adorable. However, only a few of them have magical abilities. Rapunzel is the very first one of them. Her long hair could heal anyone. But this only worked if the hair isn’t cut.

For the scene in which Rapunzel enters the marketplace, Disney animators took the idea from the entrances of Walt Disney World and Disney Land to design them. The scenario looks marvelous and fantastic.

“Rapunzel Unbraided” had become “Rapunzel,” and then another name change was announced. This time, they decided to call it, yes, “Tangled.” Part of the party line from Disney was that they considered the film a two-hander between Rapunzel and Flynn, so they didn’t want just to call it “Rapunzel.” Another assertion is that Disney was worried that a movie called “Rapunzel” would not appeal to boys, and they wanted it to be a film that appealed to a broader audience.

In a scene where Rapunzel and Eugene are in the library, you can clearly see a book with a cover of ‘The Little Mermaid’. This is also a little crossover no one envisioned before. If you watch closely, you can also notice some nods to Disney classics like ‘Pinocchio’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Frozen’, and ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

#8. Rapunzel’s Favorite Treat

It was Hazelnut Soup that Mother Gothel is a master of making for Rapunzel. There are a lot of recipes for Rapunzel’s favorite food from Mother Gothel after the movie was released.

Have you noticed that Rapunzel’s mother, Queen Arianna, hasn’t aged at all? King Frederic, Rapunzel’s father, has been shown to age in the short. While we do not know the exact ages of Rapunzel’s parents, the mother still looking youthful the day she gave birth to Rapunzel has led to some interesting theories.

#10. Rapunzel has always been barefoot

Up until the end of Tangled, Rapunzel has always been barefoot. Given, she was always up in the tower and never came out of it until Flynn showed up, having no shoes helps her move a bit faster without having to be constrained by high heels.

#11. Rapunzel’s voice actress, Mandy Moore, shares a trait with her.

Whenever Mandy performs, she usually prefers going barefoot just like Rapunzel. Another note is that Mandy also changed her hair from blonde to brown from time to time, just like how Rapunzel had blonde hair at first and then went back to brunette when Flynn cut her hair.

All those years of production and all that time spent writing programs to animate hair cost a pretty penny. Reportedly, Tangled cost $260 million to make. It is the most expensive animated movie ever made, and one of the priciest films ever, full stop.

Rapunzel’s hair has 100,000 strands and weighs up to 60-80 lbs. You have to give her props for having to deal with a lot of hair throughout her life. Maybe Rapunzel has magic attached to her hair, so she doesn’t struggle a lot with it.

#14. Rapunzel is ambidextrous.

She happens to be ambidextrous, but in crucial situations, she is shown using her left hand as a preference. As to where she got it from, it would most likely have to be her mother. Even though we don’t see much of the Queen on-screen, she has been shown holding baby Rapunzel with her left hand and reaching out to her face with her left hand.

#15. Moore and Levi didn’t love their work at first

After doing all their recording and waiting out the animation, Moore and Levi got to see the finished version of Tangled. Their response? Negative, at least toward their own work. Moore said she thought she sounded “shrill,” while Levi said he thought his voice work was “incredibly nasally.”
