Walt Disney was one of America’s most iconic artists and filmmakers of the 20th century. Passionate about his art and films, Walt Disney left a legacy all over the world. We all remember his work as a brilliant artist and his irreplaceable job as a producer at Walt Disney Studios. As a loyal fan of Disney studio, I want to share with you some rarely seen photos of Walt Disney in the 1950s – the successful time of this great man and his company.
In the 1950s, a number of films were released, and a new movie publishing arm, Buena Vista Distribution, was founded. Walt Disney also made his first journey into television, and in 1954, he started his first regular television series which made a big hit in the film industry. #1 Elaine Long, 3 years old, is one of the very first visitors to Disneyland that got special treatment from the boss of Walt Disney Studio. She was given an ice cream at Carnation’s Gay Nineties ice cream shop by Walt Disney, the man behind the $17-million theme park.
