Chris Evans Captain America is brushing the dust off his costume, according to insiders, since he is likely to follow the character in a certain way in the MCU.
But it is unclear if the contract is finalized, but sources claim Evans will reprise his role as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, in at least another Marvel movie, with the possibility of a sequel. According to reports, it’s improbable to be a new Captain America picture, but rather something along the lines of what Robert Downey Jr. accomplished following Iron Man 3 with movies like Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Regarding Chris Evans Captain America, no response from Marvel.
Evans had made it clear that he would be giving up the shield after Avengers: Endgame, with Marvel even having Evans’ character deliver the shield to Anthony Mackie‘s hero in a torch-passing scene at the close of the movie. Circumstances had altered in recent times, with the notion of Evans returning to the MCU as Rogers being raised to see whether there is any potential; as the weeks passed, Evans got more open to the idea, and the two sides reached a deal toward the end of the year.
The details of how he may return are still being figured out, but the possibilities are endless. Even after a character’s movie franchises have ended, Marvel has found ways to incorporate them into other domains in the MCU, and the inclusion of new Disney+ miniseries provides even more properties where he may make his comeback if it isn’t in his solo movie.
Whichever option is chosen; viewers will be energized by the prospect of seeing a figure they thought would never reappear.
