4215 -Complete Guide To Canonical Star Wars Timeline That Every Star Wars Fan Must Know

The Star Wars chronology isn’t the most straightforward to follow. Given how many movies, TV episodes, novels, comics, and video games make up the canon of the galaxy far, far away, it’s just going to grow more confusing. The series is also accelerating, with a slew of new films and television shows on the way — making it even more difficult to keep track of what’s going on and when. However, this is where we step in.

Null
Below is a timeline of every key event in the galaxy’s history, beginning with Yoda’s birth and ending with the events of The Rise of Skywalker. We’ve got you covered whether you’re searching for a franchise refresher or information on a section of the history you’re unfamiliar with. There’s never been a better moment to catch up on the Star Wars timeline than now, with the Obi-Wan Kenobi show just weeks away. This is the resource you’ve been looking for.

How does this Star Wars timeline work?

Everything in the Star Wars universe timeline is counted down from the Battle of Yavin, where Luke Skywalker detonated the first Death Star. As a result, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith takes place 19 years before Star Wars: A New Hope, and is set 19 years before the Battle of Yavin (in 19 BBY). Star Wars: The Force Awakens, on the other hand, takes place 34 years after the Battle of Yavin (in 34 ABY). Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get started with a quick rundown of the Star Wars timeline.

Star Wars timeline in chronological order:

  • The Acolyte
  • Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
  • Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
  • Star Wars: The Clone Wars
  • Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
  • Star Wars: The Bad Batch
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi series
  • Star Wars Rebels
  • Rogue One series:
  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
  • Star Wars: A New Hope
  • Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
  • Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
  • Star Wars Resistance
  • The Mandalorian
  • The Book of Boba Fett
  • Ahsoka
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
  • Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Jar Jar Binks, a member of the Naboo Senate, requests for Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to be given emergency powers to call up the Clone Army, which thereafter joins the Jedi in combat against Separatist troops on Geonosis. In the combat, Jango Fett was killed. In lightsaber combat, Separatist commander Count Dooku is revealed to be Sith Lord Darth Tyranus, who slices off Anakin’s arm. The Galactic Republic becomes the Galactic Empire when Palpatine declares himself Emperor. Clone Troopers turn on the Jedi and nearly wipe them out as a result of Order 66. In a fight, Obi-Wan defeats Vader, seriously wounding him and requiring the use of an iconic cybernetic life support outfit. Padme passes away while giving birth to twins. Luke is on Tatooine with his step-uncle/aunt Owen and Beru Lars, while Leia is on Alderaan with Senator Bail Organa. Obi-Wan and Yoda, on Tatooine and Dagobah, respectively, go into hiding. (Revenge of the Sith)

(Star Wars: Aftermath novel trilogy)

5-9 ABY – After being devoured alive, Boba Fett emerges from the Sarlacc pit. Tusken Raiders capture him, but the bounty hunter earns their trust and becomes entrenched in their culture. Grogu summons the Jedi, but the villainous Moff Gideon, wielding the Darksaber sword, captures him. Din is aided in defeating Moff Gideon by Boba Fett, who is searching for his armor, and Bo-Katan, the former heiress of Mandalore. Rey stabs Kylo with a lightsaber when they first meet, but the Force saves him. General Leia is killed while attempting to keep her son, Kylo, alive.

Rey flies to Exegol in Luke Skywalker’s ancient X-Wing after discovering its location. She places trackers so the Resistance can track her down. She then faces her grandpa, while the Resistance, with the assistance of Lando, has gathered an army of individuals who detest the Final Order, and confronts her grandfather.

Null

Palpatine quickly gains control of Rey, urging her to “strike him down” so the Sith may continue to live on through her. However, Kylo Ren arrives to assist, and the two assault Palpatine together. They are defeated by the Emperor, who steals their life energy. The slain Jedi then flock to Rey to assist her in overthrowing Palpatine, who is dissolved.

The galaxy rejoices upon the defeat of the Final Order. On Tatooine, Rey burys Luke and Leia’s lightsabers. Both suns had set. The equilibrium is restored. (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker)

9114 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi Remakes

We all are familiar with the live-action adaptation or CGI remakes of many Disney cartoons. Some notable names are Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, and the list goes on. Many animated films have regained the heat after the live-action or CGI versions hit theaters. Some mediocre cartoons even have a chance to reach the top rank if the remakes are successful. Of course, besides Disney productions, cartoons from other studios are also considered to be put on the big screen, and here are 8 of them.

Scroll down to see if your favorite one has its name on the list!

#1 The Last Unicorn (1982)

Live Action Animation 3 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: Amazon Prime Video

Topcraft’s animation is the journey of the last eternal unicorn to find other members of her kind. The team of the unicorn, a bumbling magician, and a bandit’s wife sets off on a fascinating adventure and faces many dangers. On the way, the legendary creature learns many precious lessons about love and regret.

A weak point in the original version is the stiff and awkward character designs. However, it lays a strong foundation for a CGI mixed live-action remake.

#2 The Adventures of Mark Twain (1985)

Live Action Animation 4 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: Peacock

Will Vinton introduced the enthralling works of the father of American literature to children through this stop-motion animation. The audience would follow Tom Sawyer and his friend to discover Mark Twain’s airship. They explored the place while watching and listening to Twain’s stories before they realized the ship was heading into Halley’s Comet.

As stop-motion has many limits, the film’s CGI remake seems to promise a much better version. The lively animation associated with the famous writer’s absorbing stories will make it a top-notch movie.

#3 Perfect Blue (1997)

Live Action Animation 8 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: AMC+

Perfect Blue revolved around Mima Kirigoe, a J-pop idol-turned-actor. Mima intends to stick to her acting career, but a menace of a mysterious stalker and a series of peculiar murders around her mess up her plan.

This adult animated film could become a fascinating psychological thriller with an ideal cast as Mima and the right level of visual effects.

#4 We’re Back! A Dinosaur’s Story (1993)

Live Action Animation 6 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: Apple TV

With the time machine, a scientist decides to gift the children of the 20th century in New York City with sentimental dinosaurs brought from their natural habitats.

We’re Back! A Dinosaur’s Story could be turned into a lovely live-action CGI hybrid film. Cinematic dinosaurs can’t be more real, and this lighthearted script will make dinosaurs’ images much better, at least compared to Jurassic Park. After all, people should be reminded that dinosaurs are more than monsters.

#5 Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland (1989)

Live Action Animation 5 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: Amazon Prime Video

Little Nemo is upset since his parents are too busy to take him to the circus. That night, he meets members of the circus in his dream, and they introduce him to King Morpheus, ruler of Slumberland. When Nemo sees the king, he was offered an opportunity to rule the kingdom and protect it from the Nightmare King.

A dreamland like Slumberland is a perfect place for creativity, and innovative animators know how to make the best use of it. Looking at similar movies like Inside Out and Soul will make you certain about the success of this film’s CGI remake.

#6 Animal Farm (1954)

Live Action Animation 1 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: imdb.com

The animated movie Animal Farm was adapted from George Orwell’s famous novel of the same name. The story is about an animal farm that represents the rise of the Soviet Union. Under the Old Major the boar’s leadership, the animals of Manor Farm chase away the farmer to gain independence. However, the utopia turns out a nightmare for the animals under the dominance of Major’s successors.

Andy Serkis is the director of the latest animated adaptation of the story. His talent combined with the assistance of CGI technology will likely guarantee a first-rate adaptation movie.

#7 Wizards (1977)

Live Action Animation 2 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: Apple TV

Written by Ralph Bakshi, the movie feature the fight between two wizard brothers over the governance of a post-apocalyptic Earth. The malicious brother, Blackwolf, uses a projector with Nazi propaganda to provoke his troop. To stop his evil plan, Avatar, his brother, with some weird companions decide to confront him.

The action flick doesn’t leave much impression on the viewers due to its old-fashioned and cheap-looking animation. The battle could be more exciting and absorbing with more detailed character designs in the CGI remake.

#8 Cats Don’t Dance (1997)

Live Action Animation 7 -8 Non-Disney Cartoons That Promise Remarkable Live-Action Or Cgi RemakesSource: Apple TV

The young cat Danny is ambitious about becoming a renowned Hollywood actor. However, he gradually realized that animal actors only play cameo roles while humans take charge of all the main parts. Instead of giving up, he and his fellow actors are determined to prove their capability and get what they deserve.

Though the animation Cats Don’t Dance failed hard, the meaningful premise should be brought back to the screen. Having been successful with Space Jam: A New Legacy, Warner Brothers can definitely handle a new version with CGI models of Cats Don’t Dance.

9110 -12 Low-Budget Films That Made Eye-Popping Revenue At The Box Office

There’s no denying that movies are more costly than ever. It’s not rare for a production company to invest hundreds of millions ( even billions) in filmmaking. As long as you have the right actor, director, or intellectual property, you may be able to recoup your huge investment. But what about ambitious directors who can’t afford to make a film about your favorite superhero or cast any big-name actors? The independent market is for directors with a limited budget. Low investment, low return.

However, there are certain exceptions: when a low-budget film outperforms expectations. This unusual event can launch unknown actors to stardom and first-time directors to legends. You may be familiar with some breakout independent films, but you’d be shocked how many of your favorite films had a far lower budget than you expected.

To clarify, this list isn’t rated only by the lowest budget, but rather by how successful the films were given the budget they had to deal with. So, without further ado, here are 12 low-budget films that went on to become box office hits.
