This endorsement from Prescott comes at a critical time for the Cowboys, who are now 3-3 and need to turn their season around.
The 47 points allowed against the Lions are the most the Cowboys have ever given up in a game where they didn’t score a touchdown. In their last four home games, they have allowed a total of 167 points, making it one of the worst stretches in NFL history.
Prescott’s trust in McCarthy could serve as motivation for the team as they try to bounce back. The Cowboys will head into their bye week and prepare for a tough schedule, facing the 49ers, Falcons, Eagles, and Texans next.
