NFL fans are convinced that the Denver Broncos-Kansas City Chiefs game was rigged on Sunday afternoon following another jaw-dropping finish involving the defending Super Bowl champions.
The Broncos had Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on the ropes, needing just a 35-yard field goal from reliable kicker Wil Lutz to hand the defending champs their first loss of the season.
But as usual, Kansas City found a way to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat by blocking Lutz’s game-winning kick:

As you would expect, plenty of fans on social media claimed that this game was scripted for a Kansas City Chiefs victory:

NFL is all scripted and the head writer is from Kansas City. I won’t believe anything else at this point 😂

Sunday’s victory over Denver came six days after the Chiefs narrowly escaped with a 30-24 overtime win over Baker Mayfield and the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Better to be lucky than good sometimes, huh?
Kansas City Chiefs Keep Perfect Season Hopes Alive
The Chiefs’ victory on Sunday makes them the first NFL club to start out 9-0 since the 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers, who won their first 11 games before dropping four of their final five games.
Up next, Kansas City will try to stay undefeated when they visit Josh Allen and the rival Buffalo Bills next Sunday.
