The release date for the Obi-Wan Kenobi saga has been pushed back two days, from Wednesday, May 25 to Friday, May 27 – the same day as the release of Stranger Things season 4. The better news is that two Star Wars episodes will be released simultaneously.
Disney hired Ewan McGregor to deliver the news, which, of course, served to cushion the shock. So it is worth mentioning that Stranger Things season 4 will be released on Netflix on the same day. That’s going to be one sci-fi spectacular, think about a clash of titans.
Only after the initial two-episode run, LucasFilm has confirmed that the Obi-Wan Kenobi show would be released on successive Wednesdays together with Stranger Things season 4. Below is a video of McGregor speaking to the media.

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s plot
Following Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the Obi-Wan Kenobi story will start up 10 years later. A teaser dropped lately, showcasing McGregor in the character for the first time since the prequels were aired, as well as introducing the Grand Inquisitor, a villain who was originally featured in the animated series.
Hayden Christensen reprises his role as Darth Vader in the series and has expressed excitement about reprising the famous character. It was mostly a lot of excitement because I had spent enough time with this character and felt like I knew him, and coming back to it felt very natural in a lot of ways, and I was just really excited to get to come in and play Darth Vader at this point in the timeline because it did feel like a natural continuation of your journey with the character. And that was very meaningful for me.”
Obi-Wan will face off against Vader in a saber duel, with Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy earlier promising a “rematch of the century” between the two.
