Apparently, leisure activities are a key part of our lives, helping us to improve the work-life balance. Nevertheless, enjoying various recreations such as walking, meditating, playing sports, or watching movies is quite different from delicate to your passion. Strong enthusiasm for something requires an insatiable desire to do it and hone your skills for it. If your passion is cooking, you want to try or even create new recipes whenever you have time. Meanwhile, if you are keen on the art of floral design, you will always be urged to create flower arrangements.
We all have a passion for something, and everybody wishes to turn it into a job. What could be better than having the chance to do what we love every day while still earning a stable income and contributing to society? Sadly, for most people, careers do not link much with their enthusiasm. For example, a teacher is passionate about photography, or an attorney loves to spend all his spare time gardening. Though it’s a shame that they can’t make a profession out of their passion, these people likely keep doing what they love on the side. After long working hours, they devote their time to their hobbies, which is impressive and admirable.
Many amateur artists who keep creating art as a leisure-time activity post their works on the internet. Looking at their works, we just can’t help but have a ton of respect for these zealous people and applaud their artwork. Let’s meet Saiyre, “a physician assistant (PA) by trade and an artist by passion.”
Saiyre works at an Urgent Care in Pennsylvania and lives with her husband and kids. Despite her demanding job, she simultaneously delicates herself to art. Her bio writes: “Outside of high school courses and a minor in fine arts, she holds no formal fine art education and is largely self-taught and self-motivated.” However, her works of art are stunning and incredible for a person without formal art education.
Below is Saiyre’s series of “Battle Ready Princesses“, which makes you doubt if she actually is an amateur. Scroll down and enjoy!
