My employer just launched a new program where every employee is expected to spend 10 hours a month on community clean-ups, tree planting, or other “green” activities.

It’s unpaid and outside normal work hours. Management says it’s part of our “corporate responsibility” and that everyone should pitch in because climate change affects us all.

Here’s my issue: I already volunteer for environmental causes in my own time, and my evenings are packed with family and side projects.
