Newlywed Discovers Hidden Photos of Husband’s Affair Partner and Realizes His Biggest Lie Was Never Over

Discovering a hidden truth after marriage can feel like the entire foundation of your life suddenly shifts beneath your feet.

For one newlywed woman, an ordinary moment of looking through wedding photos turned into the realization that the betrayal she thought was in the past had never truly ended.

Years earlier, her husband admitted to crossing a boundary with a coworker, and she chose to forgive him.

She believed they had rebuilt their relationship.

But when old photos revealed a secret he had kept for years, she was forced to question everything she thought she knew about their marriage.

'I discovered my husband’s secret while I was making our wedding thank you notes. What should I do?'

I (31F) just married my husband (31M) a little over a month ago and I just

found something in his computer that is rattling me to my core.. For backstory:

We have been together for almost 8 years. Around year four, he had

admitted to flirting and kissing a female coworker. The guilt was eating

him up and he decided to come clean to me. Even though I was grateful

that he owned up to it, it completely obliterated the trust I once had.

When I had questioned him about the girl, he had answered me by

saying she was no longer in the picture because she had moved to a

different state. He never gave me any more information about her other

than that. I asked what she looked like, her name, etc and he would

always tell me that it didn’t matter because he would never talk to her

again. After quite a few months of being distant, I decided to resume

the relationship with him. I let him know that my trust was completely

gone, so it was going to take some time for him to earn it back. He said

he understood and we continued on with our relationship. That summer,

he had an internship in a very popular national park, So we spent our

first few months of getting back together doing long distance. Once he

returned, it felt like we were back to normal.

Fast forward to last year, some old friends of his got married and we

attended the wedding. Everything was going great until he introduced

me to some old coworkers who were standing in a group huddle. As he

was introducing them to me one by one, there was one girl who

wouldn’t introduce herself and tried her best to look away. To her

dismay, one of the other former coworkers introduced her to me. I

smiled politely and said nice to meet you, and she looked at me like she

was about to throw up. At about this time, the person who had

introduced us mentions that she used to work with them until she

moved out of state. It was in that moment I KNEW exactly who she was.

It was one of those deep, gut feelings. The rest of the night, I could feel

her staring me down but yet avoiding me at the same time. Before the

end of the night, a GLORIOUS thing happened. The bride(who was also a

former coworker of my husband and very drunk) came up to me and

very loudly started to talk about women who don’t know how to find

their own man and that karma would one day follow. She also kept

saying how gorgeous I looked and kept pointing out my features that

were completely opposite to the other girl(ie im really tall and athletic

and she is short and plump). It was very obvious that the bride was trying

to call her out and embarrass her. I will forever be grateful for that bride.

I didn’t know her that well, but she was a total girl’s girl. I had never

mentioned any of this to my husband. It didn’t feel necessary because it

had been a few years since the incident, and there were no signs that

anything else ever happened. Why stir the pot, right?

So here I am tonight, downloading pictures from our photographer and

drafting up our thank you cards. My laptop stopped working a few

months ago back, so I am using his. I saved the wedding photos into a

folder. When I go to reopen it, I see a photo folder that’s titled “Friends”.

Im not sure why, but I clicked on it. The first picture I see is of a blonde

girl sitting in a kayak on a lake that looks really familiar. It’s the national

park where he spent his internship. In his kayak. Time stamped from his

summer internship up there. It’s HER. WTF. I then kept clicking through

the pictures and I see more pictures of her kayaking, fishing, hiking, and

camping. Im sitting here trying to reflect on my memories from that

summer. I remember one particular week where he said that he had

some friends coming to visit him. I didn’t hear from him much that week

and just figured that he was busy with them. He told me that they went

kayaking, fishing, hiking, and camping. I had asked him which friends,

and he said that they were just some old friends from college. I never

pressed him on it because I didn’t feel the need.

Guys, what the heck do I do?!!! He’s currently in bed sleeping and I’m in

our living room balling my eyes out because he has kept this from me for

years. I am wondering if I should even stay with him now because what

else has he lied about if he could keep this from me? The scariest part is

that if we never went to that wedding, I would have never figured out

who she was. So he could’ve easily lied about this girls pictures if I ever

came across them in the future. It feels so calculated. How should I confront him?

UPDATE:

I am overwhelmed by comments. I’ve never had a post this popular

before so instead of replying to comments I’ll just add this here.

Some of you commented that the timeline didn’t make sense. Let me explain.

He cheated on me with this girl approximately 6-8 months BEFORE

going on his internship. He never hung out with her before, they had just

worked together previously and obviously cheated. But other than that,

they had no mutual friends, besides coworkers. So him promising me

that I had nothing to worry about was a lie. He clearly kept in contact

with her after he cheated, after he told me about the cheating, and after

we mended our relationship. He obviously knew this would crush me

and that I wouldn’t approve which is why I guess he never told me. If I

would have known she visited him up there, I would have ended our

relationship. She moved to a state that is literally across the country. She

would have had to book a very expensive flight to even get there.

Now for the actual update.

After posting this, I couldn’t take it anymore. I sent the pictures to

myself and took pictures of the timestamps and then I went in and woke

him up. He was super cranky that I couldn’t wait until morning but I

didn’t care. I asked him when he was going to tell me about (I used her

name). He acted like I was speaking another language. So I asked him

again. He kept up the confused act. So I showed him what I found. He

then said I was insecure and that the girl in the photos was just a friend

of a friend that went on the trip with them and not the one he cheated

with. I asked him which friend. He couldn’t come up with an answer. So

then I said, if a friend went with you and this girl just tagged along, why

are there only pictures of you and her? He was silent. I then told him

about what happened at the wedding. I could tell her never thought I

would figure it out. He turned pale white. He then got mad at me for

“snooping” on his laptop. I wasn’t snooping, but even if I were, that

doesn’t change the fact that he lied to me for years and kept this secret.

I would have never married him if I knew any of this. He started throwing

a total rage fit. I’ve never seen this man act this way before. Starting

yelling at me, called me jealous and insecure multiple times, and then

stormed off to sleep in the guest room.

I stayed up all night angry, ugly crying, and scouring social media for

clues. I found the girl on Facebook. Same girl in the camping photos;

same girl I met at the wedding. I went through her pictures, and my

damn husband liked nearly every photo and post on her page. Even the

recent ones. I then looked up the bride from the wedding and I sent her

a DM. She hasn’t read it yet, but I’ll update once I get more clarity from her.

Thank you all for validating my feelings. I’m so overwhelmed and scared

right now. I’m called my parents today and told them what I found. They

agree that I should seek some sort of annulment. I can’t live with a lying cheater. I’ll keep everyone posted.

UPDATE 2

Thank you to everyone for being so supportive. Even though you’re all

strangers, I feel so much better knowing that I’m not the crazy one here.

Now that I’m reflecting on our relationship, there were definitely red

flags that I didn’t see. Mostly because of his manipulation tactics.

I’ve been researching annulments in our state, and it seems I would have

to prove “fraud” which can be extremely difficult to do. So I guess most

people opt for a divorce instead. I plan to go into our local courthouse

tomorrow to talk to someone about it. I don’t want to waste any more

time on this disaster of a marriage.

I haven’t heard from the bride yet, and it appears that she hasn’t even

read my message. Hoping she will see it. I might try to track down her phone number somehow.

I decided to be a little petty today to make me feel better , so I called my

husband’s parents, siblings, and some friends to let them know that I will

be returning their wedding gifts so they can get refunds. I briefly

explained the situation to them, and the family drama has been “drama-

ing” all evening. Luckily, they are all on my side. My soon to be ex sister

in law said I should reach out to the girl he was cheating with to confirm

everything. Idk how I feel about that yet. I think I might consider therapy

before opening up myself to more hurt.

Part of me wants to continue the pettiness and send out our thanks you

notes with the pictures from his special camping trip. Not sure if I have

the cojones to do that or not. I know we all live for the pettiness here on

this subreddit, so if I do, I’ll update.

As for the man of my nightmares, he still hasn’t talked to me since the

confrontation. He’s been avoiding me all night by staying outside in his

shop working on his ATV. I have thrown all of his clothes and belongings

into the spare room. Unfortunately, we moved out of state from all of

our friends and family for his stupid job, so I have no other place to go.

I’ve spent so much money and gave up everything to move and be with

this man. Luckily we have not joined our bank accounts yet, so I still have

control over all of my stuff. I’m considering packing all of my things and

just driving back to our home state. But I’d like to figure out the annulment thing first.

Not sure what else could happen from here. I’m sure we will have a

heated discussion at some point but he’s being cowardly tonight. Maybe

it’s for the best so I can begin my exit strategy.

Well that’s all for now. My face is swollen and dry from crying, and my

head hurts. Thanks again to everyone being so kind. I’ll update again soon.

UPDATE 3

Today has been hard. I have so many emotions rushing through me right

now. But the biggest one is anger towards myself. I feel like a fool. I

struggled with self worth and insecurity after the initial cheating, and he

always treated me like I was making a big deal out of it or that I was

dwelling on the past. I guess it was just my body telling me that

something was wrong. But I didn’t listen. I just kept on like everything

was normal. And now I’m pissed ,because I wasted so much time with

him. I could have moved on ages ago. Now I have to say goodbye to the

honeymoon phase, the idea of our future children, and growing old with

the man I thought I knew. Now I’m facing this new reality of ending this

and starting all over again. Such a waste.

I spoke with a really nice man at the courthouse today and he gave me

my options. Unfortunately, an annulment would be extremely difficult

to get, so he recommended I file for divorce. And since we don’t have

any joint assets and haven’t really combined too much, it should move

pretty quick. The only thing we have together is our dog. As much as I

love and adore our dog, I’m willing to just let him keep him so I can get the hell out of here.

Not long after I left the courthouse, I got a phone call from my husband.

I didn’t feel like dealing with him so I declined it. He left me a really long

voicemail about how we need to talk and that I’m taking this too far and

how I haven’t let him explain his side of the story and I’m just coming up

with my own conclusions. Which is hilarious because I would have loved

to talk. But instead, he ignored me all last night and didn’t come inside

until I was in bed. And when he came in, he just went to sleep in the

guest room again. I didn’t respond to his call.

I ran some extra errands before going home. Luckily, he wasn’t there. I

packed all of my important documents, family heirlooms, and other

sentimental items into a large suitcase. I put that in my car for

safekeeping for now. I think I might get a storage unit tomorrow to keep

my things safe until I can move. After all of that was done, I decided that

I deserve a night out. We haven’t explored this new city yet, and he’s

always too cheap to take me anywhere. After I made myself pretty and

packed an overnight bag, I left the house. I am currently sitting in a nice

hotel restaurant/bar watching the rain. It’s really relaxing. I plan to have

a few glasses of wine and stay in this hotel tonight to tune everything

and everyone out. He keeps calling and texting me wondering where I

am. Not sure if I’ll respond to him or not. I’ll update again soon.

UPDATE 4

Sorry it’s been a few days. I’ve been going through a lot. I have a long update.

The bride messaged me back the clarity I needed a couple of days ago.

It’s a really long message so I’ll paste it below in quotes. Warning: she cusses like a sailor. 🤣

“Hi *blank*. I apologize that I didn’t reply to you sooner. I’ve been

wrestling with the idea of whether or not to call (my husband) and lose

my shit on him. After giving it some thought, I realize that would be

utterly pointless. He is a complete waste. I feel terrible that you are

dealing with this. I was manipulated by him because he made me believe

that you knew about everything. I didn’t realize that you were still in the dark.

You see, I was the one who told him to confess to you when I caught

them kissing in our work parking lot. I had noticed that they had been

super flirtatious for a while and I had a hunch that they went outside

together to do something shady. When they knew that they were

caught I made him promise me that he would tell you or I would. I had

never met you, but I fucking hate cheaters. So whenever I see anyone

being disrespected like that, I make it my business to bring it to light.

Then when word got around that the skank went up to see him for their

disgusting little camping trip, I texted both of them and tore them a new

one. I once again had to be the mommy and got him to promise to tell

you. I should have never believed the fucking dirt bag. I’m so sorry. Also,

I think you should be aware of something else. The image he painted of

you to everyone for years was despicable. He used to tell us that his

girlfriend was this meek, little bookworm who was too busy to care

about him. First of all, you are a fucking smoke show. I’m not kidding. I

was blown away when I saw you. He never showed us pictures of you

and whenever we did see pictures online, he would complain that you

would heavily edit them because you are insecure or some shit. Babe,

clearly you are out of this fools league and you can now go find a better

guy. That fucking skank looks like trailer trash compared to you. And you

should also know that I didn’t invite her to my wedding. Someone

brought her as a plus one and I was furious because I knew that you guys

were coming. Had I known, I would’ve given you a personal heads up.

She had no right to be there and she knew that I was livid that she

showed her face at MY wedding. Fuck her. Fuck him. If you need me to

testify any of this during your divorce, hit me up. I’d love to help put this

asshole and his bitch to shame. Best of luck babe.”

I laughed, I cried, and my blood boiled as I read her message. Who the

f*** did I marry?!!! I replied to her thanking her and then I also asked her

if she knew anything else about the camping trip. She said all that she

knows is that it was the “skank” (her words🤣) and the “skanks wing

woman”. So apparently the third person was just there to make it look

innocent if they got caught.

Since I felt confident having the whole story, I met up with my husband

today at a park. We haven’t spoke about any of this yet. I told him I

wanted to hear his side of the story. I didn’t let on that I know anything. I

never even told him about reaching out to the bride. I wanted to know if

this man would lie to me. He did. His story was that a friend of his came

to visit and just so happened to bring up the girl. He was supposedly

“taken off guard” and didn’t know what to do. He never told me because

he didn’t want to hurt me and make a big deal out of nothing. He said it

must have “slipped his mind” to delete the pictures.

I let him finish his lies, then I calmly told him I would be sending

someone with papers. I also informed him that he will need to find

another place to live until this is over. Once he realized that I didn’t buy

into his crap, the anger came back. I could tell he was getting ready to

lose it, but then he remembered we were in public. He told me that I’m

just being “insecure and jealous” and “dwelling on the past”. He said I

need therapy. 🤣 I guess he wasn’t wrong about that last part. I

definitely need therapy from this bullshit. He also told me that if I paid

more attention to him back then, he wouldn’t have needed to cheat on me.

For context, “back then” I was going to school full time pursuing my

career, plus I was working nights and weekends to pay for my schooling.

I would call him every single night and text him throughout the day. The

days I wasn’t working or going to school, I would drive two hours one

way to see him. We were sexually intimate whenever we would see each

other and would frequently talk about our future. Like WTF?!! This man

is so delusional.

I’m so glad I won’t be sticking around to find out what he would’ve done

behind my back when/if we started a family. Because if he couldn’t

handle me going to school? There’s no way he would’ve stayed faithful

to me during a pregnancy or after childbirth.

Not sure if I’ll have any more updates after this. I just need to put my

head down and get this divorce over with so I can resume my life. If

anything else happens though, I will try to update. Thank you all for

letting me vent and giving me advice. I’ve found this whole Reddit

experience to be very therapeutic. Much love.

UPDATE 5

He’s all moved out. I gave him a full day to make sure he had all of his

belongings and he is now staying with a coworker until the divorce is

final. I still bought myself a storage unit for all of my

important/expensive/sentimental things. Just in case he decides to be crazy.

Before he left with his stuff, I did a walk through to make sure he didn’t

forget anything before he left. I didn’t want him to have any excuses to

come back. Once I knew he was good to go, I went outside and let him

know he could leave. Before he left, he asked me if there was any way

we could sort this out and just do a trial separation instead of the

divorce. I reminded him that he had broken my trust twice with the same

girl. Once was too many. And he hid it from me for years thinking I would

never find out and tricked me into marrying him.

This was his story: He said that he didn’t trick me, he meant what he said

when he asked me to marry him. He the told me that nothing happened

between them on that trip. The whole thing was planned just to see if

they still had a connection and if it was worth fighting for. I guess he was

torn between staying with me or resuming with her and didn’t want to

have any regrets. But once she got there, they fought the whole time

and he realized that she was a super selfish person and not what he

remembered. So once her visit was through, he let her know that he

chose me but that they could remain friends. Which was his explanation

for why he was still liking her posts. They were “just friends” now.

AAAANNDDDD SCENE!

When he was done speaking, I just laughed. No… I actually think I

cackled. Like he really expects me to feel special that “he chose me”?

Like it’s the fucking bachelor?!!! I don’t know if that was the real story

but I honestly don’t want to stick around to find out. I’m done being

manipulated by this man. I told him to fuck off and that I would see him

in court. I also told him that I’ll be keeping our dog. He just shrugged.

The divorce should take about 90+ days to finish. So unfortunately, I’ll be

here a hot minute. In the meantime, I’ve been talking to my old job in my

home state trying to set something up so I will have work once I move.

They were all thrilled to hear that I will be coming back. I’m not sure if I’ll

get my old position back right away, but I’ll at least get something close

to it and they said they will try to get me as close to my original salary as possible.

I also informed our landlord of the situation and asked to change the

locks. They were completely supportive and said they would let me

know if he tried to skip out on rent. They will also allow me out of the

lease once I move. Contingent on the fact that he will remain there.I thought that was fair.

A lot of you are saying that I should befriend the bride. Her and I have

messaged each other a few times since that first response of hers. She’s

been really sweet checking on me and helping me brainstorm. Once I

move back, we are going to try to at least meet up for a coffee date to

celebrate. It’s so nice to know that there are still girls out there that

have your back. Even people that don’t even know you.

As for me, I’m still in a grieving process. It’s really hard to go from living

and talking to your person every single day, to hating them and hoping

you never hear their voice again. My future looked completely different

a week ago. I guess that’s why they say ignorance is bliss. But I’d rather

be living in reality and sad than living a lie and happy. I’m looking for a

therapist in my hometown that will do virtual with me until I can get

moved. I have a feeling I’m really going to need it once the dust settles.

Hoping one day I can look back on this and laugh. Hoping that my pain

and tragedy can maybe help someone else who is torn between staying

or leaving. If someone confesses to cheating on you and promises it will

never happen again, take it from me and run. Don’t waste your precious time. Much love to everyone.

Sometimes the deepest wounds are not caused by the mistake itself, but by discovering that someone you trusted carefully built a reality around a lie.

The hardest part is realizing that the person you loved was not only capable of hurting you, but also capable of hiding the truth while allowing you to make life-changing decisions based on false information.

In this situation, OP was not simply dealing with an old mistake from years ago.

She was facing the emotional shock of realizing that the betrayal she thought she had healed from may have never truly ended.

She had chosen forgiveness after her husband admitted to kissing and flirting with a coworker because she believed honesty meant there was a chance to rebuild.

What shattered her was learning that the “closure” she received may have been incomplete.

The hidden photos, continued connection, and vague explanations created a new kind of pain: questioning whether her entire marriage was built on information she was never allowed to know.

A different way to look at OP’s reaction is that this was not only about jealousy or insecurity, as her husband claimed.

Many people focus on the affair itself, but the larger issue was the loss of informed choice.

OP had the right to decide whether she wanted to continue the relationship, marry him, and build a future with him while knowing the full truth.

Instead, important details were withheld. Psychologically, this can feel less like discovering an old betrayal and more like experiencing a new betrayal in the present.

This perspective helps explain why OP struggled so deeply after finding the photos.

The issue was not only that her husband had a past mistake. It was that he continued making choices that protected himself while leaving her unaware.

His reaction of focusing on her discovering the photos rather than acknowledging the secrecy added another layer of hurt because it shifted attention away from accountability.

At the same time, situations like this are complicated because relationships involve history, forgiveness, and human mistakes.

Some couples may rebuild after infidelity, but rebuilding requires complete honesty and consistent actions over time.

Without those foundations, forgiveness can become impossible because the injured person is constantly wondering what else remains hidden.

OP’s experience highlights an important reality: forgiveness does not require someone to ignore their own boundaries.

Love can exist alongside disappointment, and memories can remain meaningful even when a relationship ends.

Sometimes protecting yourself means accepting that the person you loved may not be the person they presented themselves to be.

The difficult question is not only “Can someone change?” but also “Has enough trust been restored for a future to feel safe?”

These are the responses from Reddit users:

These commenters urged OP to confront her husband directly and demand complete honesty about the betrayal

beckbristow32 − Honestly I'd wake him up and ask him point blank what

the deal is and no more lies. He can only break your trust as many times

as you let him, so don't let him. I don't see a reality where you can trust

him anymore and I think you know that as well.

Best thing to do is just be straight with him tell him what you want. I

wont say to stay or leave thats not for me to tell you. But remember you

only found this out by accident so how much more is there because you

haven't discovered it yet. Just stand your ground in what you want and own it.

You owe that to yourself and nobody else.

gigidiva13 − WAKE HIS ASS UP! ! With all the pictures pulled up on the

screen. Send them all to yourself first! ! Tell him you're done. You know

it's her, he's a liar and you want an annulment/ divorce ASAP. OP he lied

to your face about never seeing her again. And married you knowing he was still seeing her.

He will 1. Gaslight you 2. Blame you 3. Accuse you of snooping. Then he

will beg, plead, swear he will get rid of her. Play on your heart strings

about " throwing away everything you two have". He is an a__hole, a liar,

a cheater. He will not change. He loves himself more than he loves you.

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR NAME ON YOUR DOCUMENTS!

!! UPDATEME

Good_Bet7702 − If I were you, I’d wake him up and say he needs to tell

you EVERYTHING right now and no lies. Ask point blank if she was his

mistress because the evidence is right there. And personally, I’d be

getting an annulment because clearly he’s a cheating AH who doesn’t

respect you, hence the constant lies. ! updateme!

These users believed the affair was likely more serious than admitted and pointed to the coworker’s behavior as evidence

Comfortable-Ad-2223 − Theres obviously was more than he told you. If

she spent days there with him you already know what happened. Some

guys got no shame. The bride knew thats why she was trying to alert you

and she made a big deal cuz she knows they were cheating.

Also the fact that he took and kept not only one but a few pictures of

everything they were doing. . smh i be over him yelling at him right now.

Hey dont forget to save all the evidence.

Theunpolitical − Yeah… that bride 100% knew what was up. That wasn’t

random drunk rambling, that was targeted. She clocked the situation

immediately and decided to go to bat for you in the loudest, messiest

way possible. Honestly, she was calling that girl out and low-key

signaling to you, “you’re not crazy, something happened here. ” And the other girl’s reaction?

Not introducing herself, looking sick, staring but avoiding you… yeah,

that’s guilt all over the place. People don’t act like that over nothing. Put

it together and it really looks like this wasn’t just some harmless past

thing your husband minimized.

The bride’s reaction makes it pretty clear that, at least from the outside,

people knew more than you were told… and she chose your side

without hesitation. So now it’s less about “did something happen” and

more about “how much did he hide and for how long. ” That’s the real

issue you need to confront him about.

Jazzlike_Adeptness_1 − This was 4 years into your relationship while he

was trying to regain your trust? ?  Email that folder to yourself. Talk to a

lawyer about an annulment. He married you under false pretenses.   This

guy is the embodiment of Once a cheater, always a cheater. You'll never

be able to trust him.   He lied to your face when you asked who was there.

Try to remember his face when he told you that.   EDIT: he did more than

kiss her and his coworkers know it. He exposed you to this humiliation at that wedding.

RebeccaBuster − I don’t want to make you feel worse. . but he definitely

did more with that girl… I have no doubt 😕 I know it’s hard… but keep

quiet for now and investigate. . MOVE IN THE SHADOWS! Check his

phone! Text, E-mails, photos, social media- secret apps! He’s comfortable

now (hence him having that on his laptop) Also- find that girls social media. . photos of her.

. have they been to the same places? Is she in a relationship? Can you

spot anything of his in her photos? Is she friends with his friends? I feel

like her behaviour at that wedding you went to, was the behaviour of

someone who is still doing something with him… What does your gut

tell you? ?? Sending you strength x

This group argued OP should consider leaving or annulment because repeated cheating destroys trust

unzunzhepp − Id never trust him again. He had two girlfriends at the

same time. Now your married to a cheater. Can you do an annulment?

Not saying that you should, but hecc the knife in the heart.

NolaLove1616 − For gods sake do not have kids with a cheater! Tied to a

serial cheater for life, divorce or no divorce if you do.

Charming-Cucumber-23 − When you continued to date and then marry

him after he cheated on you, it showed him that his actions have no

consequences. You need to know your worth and leave him for good.

19ShowdogTiger81 − Annulment ifit is legal where you are.

These commenters advised OP to preserve evidence, review records, and protect herself before making decisions

lafsngigs67 − Save that file to your phone. If you can’t get a new laptop

asap and move that file over (meanwhile hide it in the wedding photos).

He cheated once and now looks like he held back details or continued to

cheat. Next speak to an attorney to find out what can be done. Act as if nothing is wrong (get tested).

Make sure you have all the receipts before you make your move. UpdateMe

Comfortable-Web3177 − If I were you before you wake him up, I would

snoop through his phone while he’s sleeping and Complete look at

everything else on the computer. Maybe you should email yourself some

proof and or take some screenshots on your phone and if you’re in a

state where it’s legal to tape record your conversations with him without his knowledge, I’d do that too.

It’s better to have proof and not need it then need it not have it. He also

took away your right to choose for yourself. Because if you had known

this prior to getting married, you probably wouldn’t have married him.

And how much did the wedding cost?

And whose parents paid for it or did you all pay for these are things to

consider because if you divorce him you might be able to ask for that money back.

OP entered marriage believing the hardest part of rebuilding trust was already behind them, only to discover the truth had been hidden in plain sight for years.

The betrayal was not just the original cheating, but the continued secrecy, the deleted details, and the choice to let her build a future without all the facts.

Walking away after realizing the pattern was about protecting herself, not punishing him.

Do you think OP made the right choice by ending the marriage, or should she have given him another chance to explain? Share your thoughts below.
