What if the world of Westeros was set in the fantastic world of Disney? In the magical Disney universe, the Seven Kingdoms would be up for grabs. But what if Disney princesses were transformed into Game of Thrones’ cunning women? I know, it’s insane! But surprisingly, it’s not crazy at all, because the character swap works out pretty well.
Artist Sam Tsui reimagined the women of Westeros as Disney characters, resulting in some fantastic pairings. Elsa from Frozen would be Daenerys, Rapunzel would be Sansa Stark, Mulan would be Brienne of Tarth and so many other characters. #1 Merida as Ygritte

Both Merida and Ygritte are instantly recognizable due to their blazing red hair (Ygritte is said to be “kissed by fire”) and they both know how to use a bow and arrow! It’s a more than accurate mashup!
#2 Ariel as Melisandre

This pairing was a no-brainer because of the iconic red hair. Stannis’ ruthless, ambitious, fervent, and shadow-baby-birthing red priestess is on the other end of the spectrum from Ariel’s sweet, naive personality. But that’s what makes this mashup interesting, isn’t it?

The artist chose Lilo to dress up as Arya because she is one of the only Disney protagonists who is still a little girl!
#4 Mulan as Brienne of Tarth

Come on! Isn’t this obvious? They both know what it’s like to be a warrior, especially in a man’s world.
#5 Jasmine as Ellaria Sand

It was too obvious to cast Jasmine as a lady of Dorne, the sandy, vaguely Arabic/Moorish kingdom in Westeros‘ south!
#6 Cinderella as Catelyn Stark

Catelyn Stark and Cinderella both know what it’s like to have strange sisters, and Catelyn could have taken a hint from Cinderella and excused herself from a specific bridal banquet before the clock struck midnight…
#7 Grandma Fa as Olenna Tyrell

While Grandma Fa from Mulan is not a Disney Princess, the artist imagined her and Olenna Tyrell, Queen of Thorns and matriarch of family Tyrell, to share the same kindred-sassy-granny spirit.
#8 Tiana as Meera Reed

This one may not be as obvious to non-book readers, but Meera is the spunky girl assisting Bran and crew in their quest to find the three-eyed raven north of the wall – The Reeds are the rulers of the Cranogmen, who live in swamps and marshes and are sometimes referred to as “frog-eaters,” so Sam Tsui figured that Tiana, a bayou beauty herself, would be a perfect fit!
#9 Snow White as Shae

Snow White was chosen to portrait Shae for a very simple reason: they all have dwarves as companions.
#10 Belle as Maraery Tyrell

Aside from the fact that both Westeros and the world of Disney Princesses appear to be lacking in brunettes, the rose imagery at the heart of Beauty and the Beast made this match-up (with the Tyrell house sigil being, of course, a flower) an easy one.
#11 Rapunzel as Sansa Stark

Sansa receives a lot of criticism, particularly from book fans, but let’s face it, she’s had a difficult life and spends the majority of the series captive or locked up in one tower or another. And who better to relate to in this situation than Rapunzel?
#12 Elsa as Daenerys Targaryen

Although one has mystical ice-related skills and the other is impervious to fire and gave birth to three baby dragons, the golden hair and their shared journey from shy and oppressed little girls to ferocious queens made this choice a no-brainer.

Our sweet Aurora is dressed up as the scheming, incestuous Lannister lady that everyone loves to hate. While the choice was mainly aesthetic, one more reason that Aurora should play Cersei Lannister is that all the wine Cersei seems to be drinking probably makes her a little sleepy at times. ..
