Marvel is working on a Nova project with Moon Knight author Sabir Pirzada on board to pen the script. For the time being, it’s unclear if this will be made into a motion picture or a television series for Disney+. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will produce, as usual.

Marvel Nova initially appeared in a 1976 issue of Super Adventures as a member of the Nova Corps, an interstellar police agency that granted him superhuman abilities like increased strength, flying, and injury resistance. While the hero didn’t have many encounters with current or former MCU key characters, he did have several clashes with the Skrulls, who are featured prominently in recent and forthcoming Marvel films like Captain Marvel and the television series Secret Invasion.
Sabir Pirzada, like so many other scribes who land a high-profile Marvel project to create, rose through the ranks of the studio’s writer community, most recently assisting in the writers’ room for the upcoming Moon Knight show on Disney+, which launches on March 30.
