Simu Liu, who starred in Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings and Kim’s Convenience, will feature in the thriller Hello Stranger with Sam Worthington, Jordana Brewster, Robbie Amell, and Alicia Sanz.

Faye, a lady who seeks to replace her recently murdered husband, Evan, with an android simulant, is now filming in the Toronto region (SIM). Despite the fact that SIM Evan looks to be identical to human Evan in every aspect, Faye does not have the same feelings for him as she does for her. Sim Evan seeks to reclaim Faye while also evading a government agent on the hunt for “aware” SIMs who might pose a threat to humanity.
Ryan Christopher Churchill’s screenplay is directed by April Mullen (Wander). Tim Doiron (Wander) and James van der Woerd (Wander) produced the film in collaboration with their production business Wango Films, with Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico (The Last Word) serving as an executive producer.
International sales are handled by Myriad Pictures. Sales in the United States are handled by CAA Media Finance and Verve Ventures. Mongrel is set to release in Canada.
