Announced via a press release on May 30, 2024, Warner Bros. Japan revealed that Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League will see the return of many familiar faces from the original production.
Koichi Yamadera, known for his roles in Dragon Ball, Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Sword Art Online, will reprise his role as Batman.
The sequel will also see the return of the original staff, including directors Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi, writer Kazuki Nakashima, character designer Takashi Okazaki, and composer Yugo Kanno.

A New Chapter in the Batman Ninja Saga
Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League promises to build on the unique premise of its predecessor, which we praised in our review, saying:
“Batman Ninja takes everything great about the masked vigilante and twists it in a way we’ve never seen, creating a visual marvel unlike any other Batman animated movie before it.”
The special panel at Anime Expo on July 4 will likely reveal how Batman and his crew get involved in yakuza antics, given that the previous film focused on their escape from the feudal era.
In addition to Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, Warner Bros. Japan is also working on another exciting project, Suicide Squad Isekai. Both projects will be showcased at Anime Expo 2024, highlighting the dynamic blend of DC characters and anime.
