Move over, Bella Swan! Kristen Stewart is returning to the world of the undead in a thrilling new project titled Flesh of the Gods. This marks Stewart’s first vampire role since her portrayal of Bella in the Twilight saga, but with a decidedly darker twist.

Directed by Panos Cosmatos, the visionary filmmaker behind the mind-bending horror flick Mandy, Flesh of the Gods promises a unique blend of chilling thrills and artistic flair. Oscar Isaac joins Stewart as her co-star, and the two are set to navigate a Los Angeles soaked in 1980s neon and danger.

The story centers around Raoul (Isaac) and Alex (Stewart), a married couple who delve into a hidden world after dark. Their descent from their luxurious high-rise exposes them to a seductive and dangerous underworld filled with enigmatic characters, wild parties, and a taste of violence.

Unlike the sparkly vampires of Twilight, Flesh of the Gods promises a grittier and more unsettling exploration of vampirism. Cosmatos himself describes the film as existing “between fantasy and nightmare,” hinting at a psychological horror element alongside the stylish visuals.

For Stewart, this project signifies a return to the supernatural genre that launched her into mainstream fame. However, Flesh of the Gods offers a stark contrast to the teen romance of Twilight. This time around, Stewart is poised to portray a complex and potentially dark character, a far cry from Bella Swan.

With its acclaimed director, stellar cast, and intriguing premise, Flesh of the Gods is shaping up to be a must-watch for horror fans and those eager to see Kristen Stewart sink her teeth into a chilling new role.
