According to The InSneider, Amazon has offered Leto the part of Skeletor, the iconic skull-faced, blue-skinned sorcerer who wants to conquer Eternia and the universe by unlocking the secrets of Castle Grayskull. Frank Langella famously played Skeletor in the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie.
Leto’s casting is possible shortly after Alison Brie is confirmed to play Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s second-in-command. Leto has plenty of experience in blockbuster films, having played The Joker in Suicide Squad (2016), Niander Wallace in Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and Morbius in Morbius (2022). He will also star in Tron: Ares alongside Greta Lee and Jeff Bridges.
