Álex Pina, the creator of Money Heist, has extended his creative cooperation with Netflix and is already planning his next project.
The Spanish director has already produced three seasons of the successful heist thriller, as well as Sky Rojo, White Lines, and a Money Heist spinoff starring Pedro Alonso’s Berlin character, which is set to debut in 2023.
A Spanish newspaper story on the rise in bunker purchases following the epidemic inspired his next Netflix film, which is still unnamed.
Netflix, according to Pina, has allowed him to develop “risky and different projects, which have been written with total freedom.”
“This new stage is an extension of trust as we stand alongside some of the most important creators of contemporary fiction and bridge the gaps that have existed until very recently between North America and the rest of the world,” he continued.
“Pina is an innovative and creative storyteller who has inspired fans and aspiring creators around the world.” Diego Valos, Netflix’s VP of Content Spain and Portugal, stated. “After the great adventure that has been Money Heist, we are very excited to remain a home for him.
