As the release date draws near, Crunchyroll has just dropped a dazzling trailer for the upcoming “Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc,” which is set to release worldwide on May 12. The new trailer showcases Ufotable’s eye-catching animation style that fans have come to adore.
This eagerly anticipated season will cover chapters 128 through 136 of the “Demon Slayer” manga, promising to delve deeper into the narrative than the previously released movie, which swept box offices all over Japan in February 2024.
After defeating Upper Moon Five and Four in Season 3, both the Mist Hashira Muichiro and Love Hashira Kanroji have awakened their mark thanks to Tanjiro’s influence. Meanwhile, now that Nezuko can walk freely under the sun, Tamayo and Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho are finding a way to bring her back to being human, and the rest of the demon slayer corps must raise their level to protect her from being kidnapped by Muzan.
Therefore, the Hashiras then hold a meeting to operate an intensive training arc for the entire demon slayer corps, with each Hashira taking charge of a respective session to enhance the corps’ defense.
The purpose of the training arc is to raise the level of every warrior in the demon corps to fight against the demons and Muzan Kibutsuji himself, while also finding a way to awaken the marks in other Hashiras. Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu will also join the gruesome training sessions, from running hundreds of miles to improve their stamina to meditating under an enormous waterfall.
The Hashira Training Arc will serve as a bridge between the Swordsmith Arc and the Infinity Castle Arc, the grand finale from the manga.
Crunchyroll describes the arc as follows:
“The Demon Slayer Corps, together with their most skilled swordsmen, the Hashira, embark on preparations for the ultimate showdown against Muzan Kibutsuji. As they commence the Hashira Training, each member is fueled by faith and resolve, propelling Tanjiro and the Hashira into a new chapter of their story.”
Mark your calendars for May 12, 2024, as that’s when “Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc” begins its weekly broadcast. You can watch Season 4, as well as the entire Demon Slayer series, on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
