- Superman actor Henry Cavill and his partner Natalie Viscuso are expecting their first child, sharing their excitement about the upcoming addition to their family.
- Alongside their anticipation for parenthood, they also cherish their pets, including French Bulldog Baggins and late dog Meat, as integral parts of their lives.
Superman actor Henry Cavill is going to be a father. The 40-year-old, who is also rumored to be a potential successor to Daniel Craig as James Bond, shared the news while promoting his upcoming film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Cavill has been in a relationship with Natalie Viscuso for about three years, and the couple made their Instagram debut in April 2021.
Natalie Viscuso, 34, is Vice President of TV at Vertigo Entertainment.
Announcing the news that they’re expecting, Cavill told Access Hollywood that they’re both ‘excited’ about their pending bundle of joy.
Cavill said about becoming a dad: “I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”
The actor further gave some rare insight into his relationship with Viscuso and revealed that the pair enjoy a ‘kitchen dance party’.
“We’re not shy of a kitchen dance party, I’ll tell you that much. A bottle of wine goes down range,” he told E! News.

“Obviously not now – but previously,” Cavill added in the wake of Viscuso’s pregnancy.
Prior to beginning his relationship with the film executive, Cavill shared his hopes of being a ‘fit and healthy dad’.
“If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who’s running round after them,” he shared with Men’s Health in 2017.
“And if I do have kids, even now, it’s starting to get quite late,” added the then 34-year-old. “But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, ‘OK, I’m just going to catch a breather’.”
Cavill and Viscuso’s baby will be the second addition to their family, following the adoption of a French Bulldog puppy last year.
The pair named the adorable dog Baggins as a tribute to Lord of the Rings.
They recently celebrated one year since welcoming him into their lives, with Viscuso sharing the milestone on Instagram.
In a recent post featuring Baggins wearing a stylish coat, Viscuso wrote: “Hard to believe this guy is already a year old! Lookin’ like a proper gent from the very beginning.”
Cavill also has another dog named Kal.
Before getting Baggins, Viscuso had another French Bulldog named Meat, who sadly passed away last year, leaving the celebrity couple devastated.
Recently, Cavill wrote a heartfelt tribute to Meat on the anniversary of his passing, expressing, “Thinking of him always brings great sadness, but also great joy.”
The Witcher star continued, “We’ll miss him as long as we live, but wouldn’t live nearly as richly had we never have known him. Journey well Meatboi.”
