Jane Seymour is turning heads with her latest social media post. The English-American actress shared a throwback photo from a few years ago, taken during the filming of the dramedy Ruby’s Choice.
In the Instagram post from Wednesday, April 24, the 73-year-old actress dazzled in a cardinal red dress adorned with floral embroidery at the waist and shoulder, paired with black suede pumps and a radiant smile. She completed her look with small stud earrings and a silver necklace.
What really caught fans’ attention was her hairstyle. Instead of her usual long red hair and bangs, Seymour sported a slightly off-center side part with cool-toned grayish-blonde hair. She finished the look with a bold cherry-red lipstick, adding a vibrant touch to her ensemble.
“Join me this upcoming Sunday, April 28 for a special matinee show of #RubysChoiceFilm followed by a Q&A with yours truly! ✨ Here’s a behind-the-scenes throwback from set! 🥰,” she captioned the post in part.
It might have taken a moment for her followers to recognize the star, but they were undoubtedly supportive of the transformation.
“Jane you look fabulous 👌,” one gushed.
“Love your hair,” another wrote.
“Incredible transformation! Can’t wait to see it 🙌,” someone else wrote.
Ruby’s Choice was first released in the Australian and New Zealand markets in 2022. However, it will soon be available in the United States and the United Kingdom through a limited theater run this weekend, followed by video-on-demand services starting May 7.
The film’s official description reveals a moving story about a teenage girl whose life changes dramatically when she starts living with her grandmother (played by Seymour) who is struggling with dementia. What begins as initial resentment evolves into a journey of love, self-discovery, and uncovering long-held family secrets.
In addition to Jane Seymour, the cast includes Jacqueline McKenzie (Deep Blue Sea), Coco Jack Gillies (Mad Max: Fury Road), Stephen Hunter (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), and Rory Potter (The Dressmaker).
