Kim Mi-soo, a South Korean actress and model who starred in the TV show Snowdrop, sadly passed away of unidentified circumstances. She was 29.
The Landscape agency reported her death in a statement that was translated as follows “Kim Mi-soo suddenly left us on Jan. 5. The bereaved are deep in their sorrow at the sudden sadness. Please refrain from reporting false rumors or speculation so that the family can mourn in peace.”
Snowdrop, a drama set during the 1987 pro-democracy campaign, was broadcast in December on JTBC (Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company), a South Korean pay-TV network. The show, which can be watched on Disney Plus, garnered intense criticism in South Korea for portraying certain student activists as agents.
In the drama, Kim Mi-soo, whose name is often spelled Kim Misu, plays student activist Yeo Jeong-min. Kim was filming a role in the forthcoming series Kiss Six Sense when she died, according to South Korean news reports.
