What Else Is Coming for DC?
DC’s live-action ventures have faced challenges since the launch of the DCEU under Zack Snyder. However, with James Gunn now at the helm, there’s renewed optimism.
Gunn, taking on a role similar to Kevin Feige‘s at Marvel, is poised to introduce a new universe filled with potential. The first live-action project in this new DCU will be “Superman,” starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, written and directed by Gunn, set to release in 2025.
Additionally, the animated series “Creature Commandos,” featuring Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., will premiere later this year. This character will also appear in the highly anticipated second season of “Peacemaker,” starring John Cena.
Furthermore, a “Blue Beetle” animated spin-off series is in development, showcasing DC’s commitment to both live-action and animated storytelling.
