Masters of the Universe has found its He-Man! Nicholas Galitzine, known for his recent role in the Amazon MGM rom-com The Idea of You, has been announced to take on the mantle of the powerful hero in the studio’s upcoming live-action Masters movie.
The film will be directed by Travis Knight, who also directed the critically acclaimed Bumblebee movie. Chris Butler penned the screenplay, while Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner and Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch will serve as producers.
The story centers on Prince Adam of Eternia, who transforms into the mighty He-Man using the legendary Power Sword. Imbued with superhuman strength and abilities, He-Man defends his home planet of Eternia and the mystical Castle Grayskull from the forces of evil.

The Masters of the Universe franchise, created by Mattel, has captivated audiences for decades. It first debuted in 1982 with a line of action figures, followed by the beloved animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in 1983. The live-action film has had a long and winding development journey, bouncing between studios like Sony, Netflix, and finally landing at Amazon MGM.
