Stranger Things is one of the most popular series streaming on Netflix. The first season of the film is about a young boy who disappears. His mother, a police chief, and friends must confront terrifying supernatural forces to get him back. Set in the 1980s, primarily in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the series centers on many mysteries and supernatural events.
Developed by The Duffer Brothers, the series has four seasons so far, and fans are looking forwards to season 5. When the film premiered firstly on Netflix in July 2016, viewers were introduced to a cast who were unknown young actors mostly. Now, six years later, it’s impossible to call them kids.

#1. Millie Bobby Brown 2022 vs. 2016

Besides becoming the face of several high-profile fashion brand campaigns, and launching her own skincare and beauty line, Millie later made her feature film debut in 2019 with Godzilla: King of the Monsters. And now, she’s producing films for Netflix with her sister Paige Brown. Millie created and starred in Enola Holmes.
#2. Noah Schnapp: 2022 vs 2016

Noah has built a vast social media following on YouTube and TikTok and has gone on to star in a handful of films. Now 18, Noah is continuing with his acting and plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania.
#3. Gaten Matarazzo 2022 vs. 2016

Gaten was a young Broadway star before appearing in Stranger Things. Gaten has gone on to voice the role of Bubba in The Angry Birds Movie 2, he appeared in Katy Perry‘s ‘Swish, Swish’ music video and he even hosted Netflix’s Prank Encounters series.
#4. Caleb McLaughlin 2022 vs. 2016

Caleb also continues to use his platform as one of the biggest Netflix stars to spearhead several social media campaigns promoting positivity and healthy body image. Caleb is also a musician, and he just released his latest track, ‘Soul Travel’, in May 2022.
#5. Finn Wolfhard 2022 vs. 2016

Finn starred as Richie Tozier in IT movies. After that, he appeared in The Goldfinch, The Addams Family where he voiced Pugsley Addams, and, most recently, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Finn was also the lead vocalist and guitarist in a band called Calpurnia, which sadly broke up in 2019.
#6. Sadie Sink 2022 vs. 2017

Now, Sadie is well-known for playing Ziggy in the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix, as well as the horror film Eli. In 2021, Sadie appeared in Taylor Swift‘s All Too Well: The Short Film as the lead character alongside Dylan O’Brien. Sadie has also become a bit of a fashion girlie.
#7. Maya Hawke 2022 vs. 2016

She appeared in the films Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), Fear Street Part One: 1994 (2021), and Do Revenge (2022). As a musician, she has released the albums Blush (2020) and Moss (2022).

She appeared in the comedy-drama Yes, God, Yes (2019) and supporting roles in the horror films Velvet Buzzsaw (2019) and Things Heard & Seen (2021).
#9. Joe Keery 2022 vs. 2017

He starred in the comedy film Free Guy (2021). Keery releases music under the stage name Djo. He is a former member of the psychedelic rock band Post Animal.
#10. Charlie Heaton 2022 vs. 2016

Beginning his career as a musician, Heaton appeared on British television before starring in Stranger Things and feature films like the 2016 indie thriller Shut In; he has since starred in the thriller films Marrowbone (2017) and The New Mutants (2020).
#11. Priah Ferguson 2022 vs. 2017

With a couple of TV and movie roles under her belt so far, Priah’s career is only just getting started. Thanks to her popularity in Stranger Things, there’s no doubt we’ll be seeing much, much more of her in the years to come.
