And the savior is De-aging, a visual effect using digital editing and CGI, which can help actors look years or even decades younger. As an initiator, the movie 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand used this technique to take Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen back to the past. Since then, De-aging has been applied more frequently by many post-production teams.
