I’m a Disney fan. That’s because Disney enchantment, from classics like Snow White to more current flicks like Ratatouille, was a big part of my life. All of these Disney films feature moments about food that make you want to eat something. Even in animated form, Disney understands how to make food seem beautiful, from magnificent feasts to intimate homecooked meals.
I recall being hungry in some parts of the film and hoping I could reproduce the magnificent feast before me. Unfortunately, I was ten years old and couldn’t operate an oven on my own. Even though I’m older, there are still Disney food sequences that I can’t get out of my head. There are plenty of beautifully animated food sequences in Disney movies that inspire home cooking.
Here are ten of my personal favorites.
#1 Bella Notte At Tony’s in “Lady And The Tramp”
Source: Disney
There’s nothing quite like good old-fashioned Italian spaghetti and meatballs, accompanied with breadsticks, of course! It’s a very lovely moment with the duo, which is concluded with Lady and Tramp‘s iconic spaghetti-assisted kiss.
#2 Remy’s Recipes in “Ratatouille”
Source: Disney
One of the greatest pleasures of eating is how it reminds us of times gone by, of moments of joy, comfort, and love.
#3 Tiana’s Cafe Job in “The Princess And The Frog”
Source: Disney
We can all agree that New Orleans is one of the most exciting places in the world to dine in, thanks in large part to the beignets. And it is the pillowy, powdered sugar-coated fried dough made famous by Cafe Du Monde of Tiana.
#4 Fru-Fru’s Wedding in “Zootopia”
Source: Disney
Nick Wilde eating a slice of shrew-sized wedding cake is just charming in this beautiful and humorous scenario. Despite its small size, the spectator can plainly see that he’s munching on a wonderful slice of cream cake. It’s a fantastic supper.
#5 Dunbroch Dinner in “Brave”
Source: Disney
It seems like a feast fit for a king and his family, with venison, sausages, haggis, potatoes, and meats and cheeses piled high on the table. Plus, who wouldn’t want to take those delectable Scottish buns from the kitchen.
#6 Various in “Feast”
Source: Disney
One thing that I stated about this charming film is that it lives true to its title. Only Disney can make a single brussel sprout or leftover french fries appear appealing.
#7 Be Our Guest in “Beauty And The Beast”
Source: Disney
What follows is a foodie’s dream come true. Cheese soufflé, soup du jour, beef ragout, pie, pudding, cakes, and, perhaps best of all, Champagne fountains are among the floating, dancing treats. Even if you’re serving dinner in a terrifying castle, the song is a homage to excellent food and the joy of hospitality.
#8 Pooh’s Hero Party in “The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh”
Source: Disney
A get-together of friends to celebrate can sometimes be just as delicious as that tempting cake and tray of cookies. It’s a great metaphor for a lovely bear and his pals in the Hundred Acre Wood.
