Before Emma Roberts became a renowned actress and producer, she made her mark as Addie Singer on Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous from 2004 to 2007. She soon became a household name with roles in American Horror Story and Scream Queens, as well as several major films.
Although she comes from a famous family, including her aunt Julia Roberts, Emma never felt pressured to follow in her footsteps. “I love her work, but I’m just doing my own thing,” she told Tatler in March 2022. Emma founded her own production company to create her own projects and give younger actors opportunities to shine.
“I didn’t realize I could shape my own career until my mid-twenties,” she said, emphasizing her focus on casting unexpected roles and helping others break out of typecasting.
Aside from her career, Emma has embraced motherhood. She welcomed her son, Rhodes Robert, with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund in December 2020. Reflecting on parenting, she shared with Violet Grey in March 2021, “It’s not always easy, but you improve every day. When in doubt, just love your child and yourself.”
