Thora Birch will not be in Wednesday – Addams Family show
In a statement, a representative for series producer MGM said “Thora has returned to the States to attend to a personal matter and will not be returning to the production,”
Thora Birch is said to be suffering from a family ailment, according to reports.
Thora Birch had finished filming most of her series regular role as Tamara Novak, Wednesday’s dorm mother and the sole “Normie” on staff at Nevermore Academy, a horticultural school.
The part will not be recast, as the show’s creators want to introduce a new character in the first season. It’s unclear if the new character will replace Tamara and help wrap out her intended plot with both of them co-existing on the show, or whether the new character will replace Tamara and Thora Birch’s parts would be reshot.
