Christian James (Cerebrum) has been joining in a significant recurring role in The CW’s All American cast, with Daniel Ezra, Samantha Logan, and Michael Evans Behling.
All American’s story
Wade Waters is the arrogant but excellent quarterback for GAU, and James will play him. Wade Waters is full of East Coast luxury (Golden Angeles University). He relishes his position of power over the freshman, and he makes it a point to haze them by putting them in awkward circumstances and pressuring them into dubious decisions based on team standing.
Spencer (Ezra) returns to South Crenshaw High for his senior year, with new head coach Billy Baker (Tyler Diggs) at his side. Spencer has his sights set on the All-American game and his future with the NFL, which begins with Toledo State, now that South Crenshaw High has been salvaged and the contentious State Championship is behind him.
But first, the Beverly and South Crenshaw students must go through the chaotic latter half of senior year, which includes an epic surprise prom, two graduations, and all the issues that come with leaving high school behind and launching into life.

In the Lionsgate/CBS Films film Hell Fest, James played the male lead. True To The Game 2 and A24’s Hot Summer Nights are two of his other movie credits. He’s been on Nashville and Born Again Virgin as a guest performer, and he most recently participated in the independent sci-fi thriller Cerebrum, which will be released in 2021. Pantheon and Stride Management represent James throughout his career.
