A month ago, Marvel Studios released the second trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, featuring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
In the trailer’s final scene, the duo jumps into a sling ring portal, sparking speculation about other MCU icons possibly appearing, including Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange.
Fans are eager for answers and have been turning to Benedict Cumberbatch, who also plays Sherlock Holmes, amidst the growing excitement for the movie.

The sorcerer supreme, too, has been a fixture of the more recent phases of the MCU: having gone from almost tearing the multiverse open in Spider-Man: No Way Home to actually traveling through it in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
But X, via Culture Crave, says that when asked about the rumor that it’s going to be Benedict Cumberbatch actually opening the portal in the film, the actor was evasive in his response. (via X)
“I don’t know … Maybe it’s an acolyte of mine or someone I’ve thrown out there to do my dirty laundry.”
The actor also teased a shocking reunion with the Avengers just before his next big-screen appearance.
With no sighting in the old films of the Marvel Studios, including in the cameo appearance in WandaVision, the closing part of the movie discussed the fate of the character after an encounter with Charlize Theron’s Clea.
What’s more, the portal to bring these characters into the third Deadpool movie could be opened by one of the many wielders of magic that already exist in the cinematic universe.
This was recently demonstrated in the latest Tom Holland movie and again at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Exciting Easter Eggs Await in the Upcoming Deadpool Film
Other potential surprises include the appearance of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. All the trailers for Deadpool & Wolverine have foreshadowed multiple reveals.
The first teaser dropped on Super Bowl day and included overt references to Doctor Doom and Avengers: Secret Wars and brought elements from the Loki series like the TVA and the void into the main timeline.
Not only Vanessa has been part of the loved cast, but also the returns of Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead from the previous films.
The second trailer did a lot to drum up anticipation, further revealing the huge range of cameos set to appear: a comics-accurate Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Lady Deathstrike, and Azazel in full looks.
That background does imply there are some rumors, such as Henry Cavill coming into play the on-screen Wolverine, with a few not-yet-named cameos in tow.
