Decked out in the vintage Fantastic Four suit previously seen when the movie’s cast was announced, this poster not only gives fans a thrilling peek at the new Human Torch but also confirms the classic look the team will sport in the film. Against a backdrop that hints at a futuristic city, the poster intriguingly suggests a modern setting, despite earlier hints that the story might hark back to the 1960s like the comics.
Before Quinn’s casting, the Human Torch had been brought to life on the big screen by MCU’s very own Captain America, Chris Evans, in the early 2000s, followed by Michael B. Jordan’s portrayal in the less-than-stellar reboot directed by Josh Trank in 2015.
While it’s too early to pit Quinn’s portrayal against those of Evans and Jordan, Marvel’s release of official concept art and this latest poster offer tantalizing hints about what fans can expect from the MCU’s Johnny Storm.
A striking aspect that sets this new incarnation apart is the wardrobe. Chris Evans donned a sleek, classic blue Fantastic Four jumpsuit, while Michael B. Jordan was outfitted in a more modern, astronaut-like suit. In contrast, the upcoming “The Fantastic Four” movie opts for a retro flair, dressing Quinn’s Human Torch and his teammates in vintage-inspired gear, paying homage to the original comic strip.
Fans are also eager to see how the Human Torch form of Quinn’s Johnny would look on stage. Both the CGI versions of Evans and Jordan’s Human Torch were lackluster, so questions were asked if Marvel Studios could live up to their reputation.
MCU’s The Fantastic Four will hit theaters on July 25, 2025, so there will be more than a year for us to witness Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch on the big screen.
