The sinking of the great ship Titanic is considered as the most deadly civilian maritime disaster in the world. Designed to be the epitome of style and safety, the “unsinkable” ship was the largest and most luxurious cruise liner of its day. Four days into its maiden voyage, it struck an iceberg, and hours later it had been settled at the bottom of the North Atlantic.
To commemorate the deaths of more than 1500 ill-fated passengers and crew. A film adaptation of this event was made and became a box-office hit that touched the hearts of millions of people around the world. 25 years after the movie’s initial release, the actors have changed. #1 Leonardo DiCaprio (Jack Dawson)

After the success of “Titanic”, Leonardo DiCaprio became one of the most in-demand actors. Despite his perfect performance, he didn’t earn an Oscar for the role of Jack Dawson. He continued to receive acclaim for his performance in many movies such as “The Man in the Iron Mask”, “Catch Me If You Can”, “The Aviator” and others. In 2016, he won an Oscar for Best Actor for his role in “The Revenant”.

Kate Winslet, who played Rose, had a quick rise to fame after starring in “Titanic”. After the success of the movie, she got many offers for taking part in acclaimed films like “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “Little Children,” and “The Reader,” for which she won an Oscar and a Golden Globe. She got married to Ned Rocknroll and they had two children.

Billy Zane took on the role of Caledon Hockley, Rose’s fiancé and his role was the most hated character. After the movie, he went on to do multiple roles and a lot of cameos in the films such as “Zoolander”, “Holmes and Watson” and more. He is also known as a painter and organizes exhibitions.

Since her role in “Titanic”, Frances Fisher who portrayed Ruth DeWitt Bukater, has been pretty active in the acting field. She had some starring roles in “True Crime”, “Jolene”, and “The Host”. One of her biggest roles was Jane Crawford in the HBO hit, Watchmen.

Kathy Bates’s Margaret “Molly” Brown is a kind-hearted character that all fans love when helping plenty of lower-class survivors. After that role, the actress had roles in “Six Feet Under”, “The Office”, “American Horror Story” and so on. In 2020, she received her fourth nomination for “Richard Jewell”.

Gerber went on to work with Kathy Bates again in the 1999 remake of “Annie” after his success as the ship’s designer in “Titanic”. In 2015, he got married and now he keeps working hard in acting.

Many audiences still remember the last scene where captain Edward J. Smith clung to the ship’s wheel before ocean water breaks through the glass windows. After the movie, he starred in popular movies such as “Lord of the Rings”, “Valkyrie”, “Wimbledon” and “The Scorpion King”.

For his portrayal of Joseph Bruce Ismay, Jonathan Hyde has kept busy acting. Two of his major roles are Richard Nixon in Frost/Nixon and Julies Caesar in the titular play Julius Caesar. Today, he is a family man and still working in the film industry.
#9 Ioan Gruffudd (fifth officer Harold Lowe)

Ioan Gruffudd gained wide attention for his portrayal of Harold Lowe. In addition to playing in “Titanic”, he starred in many movies including “King Arthur”, “Fantastic Four”, “Amazing Grace” and others. Now he got married to the actress Alice Evan and they had two daughters.

The role of John Jacob Astor IV earned Eric Braeden fame. One year later, he won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1998 for the role of Victor Newman in a Drama Series. Besides being an actor, he is a tennis player and has participated in many celebrity events.

The character Spicer Lovejoy who died after the ship split in half mid-sinking, was portrayed by David Warner. After “Titanic”, the actor starred in both romantic leads and villainous characters including “The Ballad of Cable Hogue”, “Straw Dogs”, “Cross of Iron”, “The Omen, Holocaust”, etc. For his perfect performance in the television miniseries Masada, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
