The new movie is taking Art the Clown’s scary antics to a whole new level by exploring Christmas time.
Terrifier 3 is set to release in theaters on October 25, 2024, thanks to Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting.
In the trailer, a child wakes up on Christmas night and finds Art the Clown lurking under the tree.
Unlike the first two films which were set during Halloween, this one is set during Christmas. However, it’s still coming out just in time for the spooky season.
David Howard Thornton is back as Art, and Lauren LaVera returns as Sienna. Samantha Scaffidi reprises her role as Terrifier, along with Victoria Heyes from Terrifier 2. Additionally, Chris Jericho, who had a cameo in Terrifier 2, also makes a return in Terrifier 3.
Leone told Deadline, “(Chris Jericho) is super excited. This one is going to pick up where part two left off, in the insane asylum, so, you’re going to see what transpires there, what mayhem unfolds, because seeing how Art and Victoria ended up, is so insane, and seeing how they get out of that situation and what happens next is going to be really wild.
“So, we have to get Chris back in there and see how he becomes a part of that situation.“
Terrifier 2, which premiered in 2022, caused quite a stir with reports of people throwing up and fainting in theaters.
According to JoBlo, Leone had a budget of around $55,000 for the first Terrifier and a budget of “a little over” $250,000 for Terrifier 2. Despite the modest budgets, Terrifier 2 managed to earn $15.1 million at the box office.
