Summary:
- “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” is launching a feature-packed box set after a solid theater run.
- Its success could boost plans for expanding The Twisted Childhood Universe.
After the success of the movie and with plans for more films in the horror series, “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” is getting a special box set. This second movie in The Twisted Childhood Universe follows Christopher Robin as he is chased by Pooh, Tigger, and Owl for telling the world about them.
The movie had a bigger budget than the first one and was better received, even though it didn’t make as much money at the box office. Nearly a month after the movie came out, Umbrella Entertainment announced that a special Blu-ray Collector’s Edition of “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” will be released on July 17.
This edition includes lots of extras like an extended death scene that hasn’t been shown before, commentary from the cast and crew, behind-the-scenes videos, and deleted scenes. The box set also comes with 16 art cards, a big reversible poster, and a 16-page book called “The Sticky Story of a Bloody Pooh.

How “Blood & Honey 2” Steered the Twisted Childhood Universe in the Right Direction
The special box set for “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” teases an exciting extended death scene, which fans are eager to see, especially since the sequel had more deaths over its 95-minute runtime.
The victims range from party-goers to hunters and people close to Christopher, with Pooh and Owl behind the chaos. It seems likely that Christopher’s father, whose death was hinted at but not shown, might be featured in this extended scene.
The box set also includes other special features and collectibles that will likely keep fans interested in The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU). Since releasing the first movie, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield has talked about his plans to create a series of horror movies based on classic childhood stories.
His studio, Jagged Edge Productions, has already confirmed moving forward with these ideas before “Blood and Honey 2″ was even released. Below, you’ll find a list of these upcoming projects and when they’re expected to come out:
Title | Release Window |
Bambi: The Reckoning | 2024 |
Peter Pan‘s Neverland Nightmare | 2024 |
Pinocchio Unstrung | 2024 |
Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble | 2024 |
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 | 2025 |
Awakening Sleeping Beauty | TBA |
Although the home video market might not be as big as movie theaters, especially with the rise of digital and streaming options, the success of the “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2″ Collector’s Edition box set could be a key sign for Frake-Waterfield and his team that The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU) has potential to grow beyond their current projects.
Since many of these projects are already being made, it seems Jagged Edge Productions isn’t too worried about their immediate box office results affecting future productions. But Frake-Waterfield has big plans, and the success of home video releases could be just as important as what happens in theaters.
